Bobby Valentino has gone through some major career changes this year, which include his decision to leave Disturbing Tha Peace and Def Jam; a move that he revealed exclusively to DJBooth. Following the release of an online-only EP, the singer signed a distribution deal with EMI for his very own Blu Kolla Dreams imprint and is now preparing a new project. While the R&B crooner may be looking to switch up his style on the hip hop infused new single, Beep Beep, the song’s hook maintains his suggestive sound effects. Complimenting the record, ala the Lil’ Wayne and BV collaboration Mrs. Officer, is Yung Joc. Valentino will release The Rebirth before the end of the year.
Bobby V is coming out with a single at the absolute right time. Meaning that when Mrs Officer hits radio and starts blowing up, he will have this track to get him more hype and airplay. He is taking his police siren thingy from Officer and using the Beep Beep noise here, good strategy I guess. Joc does his thing on here too, I'll give it a 3 to go with Mrs Officer.

Hahahaha! I guess cb12605 was WeezyWasWayne's "Gillie Da Kid"...lol. This song is smooth. Bobby is smashing the game right now. It's certainly not better than Ms. Officer, but it's a pretty decent radio joint. It should get some nice radio play. Joc does his thing. I mean, it's Yung Joc, so I never expect anything extravaganzical, but it was decent, especially the double entendre regarding his "lollipop" and the box office thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson & Christina Ricci.
Pretty cool song, fresh, catchy and energic! Bobby sings at his best as always, the only thing I don't like is that he repeats Beep Beep Beep..it's a bit annoying! I love Yung Joc's bridge, good flow. Banger!
when i heard this a while ago... i was confused about whether i liked it or not... because the chorus is whacKKKK and the rest of it is perfectly good music!... i'll be the one to change the channel if i hear this on the radio... WHY that hook!
Whats up with the double comments? I agree with CB a lot, but c'mon... form your own opinion people! Anywhoo... Bobby V gets this right. The production is way different than ANYTHING on his EP and for radio/promo purposes, it was needed. Joc was unnecessary, but everyone needs a rap feature these days... Shouts to Courtney!
hmmm nice but it dont get nomo then a 3...well itz a 3.5 so i'll give it 4. wait, wait no uhhh i dunno....yeah, i'll jus give it a 4 cuz joc also did hiz thang.
Definitely in rotation. Bobby V can do better tho. Its a nice beat and its catchy, but Bobby really needs a #1 single at this point in his career. He needs something that's going to turn the heads of the pop audience over to him. He's already got the R&B audiene after his amazing "Special Occasion" CD.
