Shady/Interscope artist Bobby Creekwater splashed onto the scene in late ’06 when he appeared on several track off of the Eminem mix-album, The Re-Up. A little over a year later, Creekwater continues to grind hard, showing label brass he has what it takes to help the Shady Empire (Em, where you at?). Since the most important phase of breaking a new artist is branding, Creekwater has taken it upon himself to make sure You Know The Name. On the new track off his Anthem 2 The Streets Vol III: Bobby Creekwater Is The Future mixtape, the Atlanta-born MC stresses his daily grind through a checklist of to-do’s, changing his vocal inflections accordingly over a beat by Swedish duo, Addeboy vs. Cliff. Creekwater’s solo debut, A Brilliant Mistake, currently has no release date.
I'm actually feeling the production. In general I think it's aight. Hook coulda been a bit different. It had the potential to be crazier but just missed it.
The beat is off da chain, Bobby is good on the verses , but the hook needs help . He needs to re-do the hook and he will have a good street record. But i do like bobby's swagg.
You hit it right on the head Z...Where the heck is one of my favorite MC's of all time Eminem??? I need more from that dude like YESTERDAY! But Bobby Creekwater sounds decent. Nothing to go crazy over. The beat is kind of plain and ordinary. Its Ok
Don't really see why you guys are all hating on it, besides the follow the leader syndrome. It's not the best, but it does remind me of about 99% of the stuff on Hip-Hop radio right now. From that perspective it's a pretty solid track, not to repetitive, and has good production. Its short too, which makes it good filler in a set. Actually from a DJ perspective, its quite a mixable track, I would use it as filler going from a more Poppy (I dont know to say it in English) song to a Hardcore/Crunk Spin. .....
MY ConClusion: Song has potentionial for Spin-time, but never as a feature in my set.
