While we in the Booth have been behind Bobby Creekwater through good times and bad, there are, of course, others who would love nothing more than to see him fail. For those folks, the ATL repper has just four words: “I Hate You Too.” The Invisibles man the boards on this just-for-kicks, apropos-of-nothing leak, flipping a sample from Lloyd BanksJust Another Day into a string-driven beat that bangs despite a handclap-only percussion section. For his part, Creek sounds as aggressive and driven as ever, informing those who would stand in the way of his grind that: “My train of thought won’t allow derailment.” Providing moral support on the guest tip are Big Apple buzzmaker Mickey Factz, who laces the middle with his own brand of hater-baiting braggadocio, and Ontario O.G. Kardinal Offishall, who “flow[s] a little off kilter” on the back end. Will Bobby Creek get the shine he deserves anytime in the foreseeable? Fans should keep their fingers crossed and their browsers locked you-know-where; though this joint isn’t attached to any project, we’ll keep you posted on the latest developments in his independent hustle.

Creekwater has always been an emcee that I rooted for (the same holds true today), but I've always gotten the feeling that he likes playing up the underdog role.

Same with guest emcee Mickey Factz, who has always made it a point to follow the motto of this record. Thus, their contributions to this new record work very well. On the other side of the coin there is Kardinal. His energy is something we've missed in his music for years (since he was just a T.Dot underground mainstay), but the "I have haters" angle just isn't as believable. In the end, though, the record is solid.

an all rappers came hard, very enjoyable record. How good was Kardinall at the end? Wasn't sure if he'd do the beat justice but he did!

Without Kardi i think this would be demoted. He just brings that energy which this track was missing prior to his verse. 3.5 stars

This "stop hating" motto has been used to disguise a lot of failings, to stop any legitimate criticism, but there's no legitimate criticism to be had here. This is nothing but some lyrically precise, quality hip-hop. Props to everyone involved - it's great to hear Kardi just rhyme again.
