B.o.B.‘s highly-anticipated debut set contains its share of heavyweight guest appearances, but one of the most exciting collaborations in the bunch didn’t actually make it onto the final tracklist. Unreleased cut Not Lost finds ATL’s brightest rising star hooking up with his hometown’s biggest established name, T.I., to trade thoughts on the ups and downs of life in the spotlight. Though Bobby Ray’s people were unable to get clearance for the sample at the core of J.R. Rotem‘s beat – yes, contrary to the title, that is Coldplay’s Lost – the sweeping piano arrangement hits the perfect note of bittersweet determination as the headliner reflects on the price of success and makes a few predictions for the future (most of which have already been fulfilled). T.I.P. takes a philosophically-minded look at his recent prison stint on the middle verse, ending with the assertion, “If I ain’t the realest ever done it, I ain’t off by much.” Though Not Lost will not be appearing on The Adventures of B.o.B., you most definitely should not let that stop you from picking up a copy this Tuesday, the 27th.

Sadly, either the sample clearance agent for this project didn't work hard enough or the people who are in charge of the Coldplay catalog are assholes. One or the other, you know.
It is too bad this didn't make the album (it fits well with the rest of the material), but B.o.B's loss is our gain here. |

Yo I just want to say I'm putting down Tours on this because the page with the headphone update isn't workin (hasn't worked since aug 20)..can someone recognize that ToniBizz is first..after Doc Z of course...Oh and as for my review, I'm a bigger fan of B.O.B. produced joints and this is one where I love his style as always but I like when the total proj is a baby of the wonderkid!

One of B.o.B's lesser tracks but that's not saying much because it's still FIRE! Banger!

Coldplay has to be one of the most sampled arists in the world, and this song shows why. It works really well with B.O.B. and T.I. verses.
It really is a shame this didn't make the album because B.O.B. definitely put a lot into his verses and the hook is catchy as hell. Definitely has the potential to be quoted a lot. B.O.B. never stops surprising me with what he brings to the table. I cannot wait until late August for TIPs album to drop. He really is back bringing his "A" game on every track and this is just another example of that. This could have been a single! |

Sadly this song didn't make the cut to be on the album, but still this song is definitely album worthy. These Grand Hustle artists went in on this and make a really good song. J.R, has a good beat on this. Don't know exactly why this one didn't make the album cuz this song really fits in well. B.o.B has really motivational songs and is really uplifting to hear him spit on this. I enjoyed Adventures of Bobby Ray, now I'm interested in how he's going to follow that up.

Eh...I can take or leave this one, but I guess it wouldn't have hurt if it made the album.
T.I. doesn't do a whole lot to make this outstanding, but it's still rotation-worthy. No complaints about Bobby, though. |

Sick... JR killed the beat... a great track is nothing without a great producer. Both B.o.B. and TI killed the song.

When i read that this wouldn't clear...I was saddened'd immediately.
BOB goes deeep on this track and his singing of the chorus is heartfelt. T.I. also kills it. 5 |

Wow, wow, wow. B.o.B is the most consistent artists rite now. Not completely on board with the hook, but the lyrics are on point and meaningful, I could rock to this.

Dayyyyum, I mean if this didn't make the album the there's only a couple things I can think of. Either B.o.B. or the people behind the scenes must be thinking that they don't want to be in T.I.'s coattails...?? Or alternatively they are leaving this off for a possible bonus track/re-release? Either way the hook is catchy and smooth and both artists put in work for their respective verses.

B.O.B. has slowly become a force to be reckoned with. Lately everything I have heard from him has been nothing short of amazing, and this song is a close runner up to recieving the same acclaim. I really like the smooth production and the hook boosts up this songs replay value a whole lot.
T.I., never really been a fan, but I'm not gonna complain, he threw in a pretty solid verse. 3.5 |

This song just brings a smile to my face! =)
Coldplay's original is strongly present in the production (specially the organ), but still J.R. pulled off some nice synths, breakdowns and sound effect choices. That guitar segment is what set the B.o.B. MOMENT in the song though(2:40 - the "uuuhs", guitar and rap-singing delivery). Also, it was fresh to listen to the chorus in B.o.B.'s vocals which are so distinctive. His lyrics couldn't be more straightforward, songwriting driven (he thinks more like a musician than a rapper) and prophetic. T.I. is just the KING! Awesome flow (diction, cadence, tone... the ending!) and lyrics. (When I first heard this song, I knew the only reason it wouldn't be on the album would be clearance issues. It's a damn shame! Coldplay's original even has a remix with Jay-Z, how come they didn't work this out?!) |

This is one of my favorite B.o.B. tracks...and how can you go wrong with T.I. as a feature?!
I just can't stress enough how multi-talented Bobby Ray is...Singing...rapping...a little of both. And I just wish this would have made the album because this deserves a spot! |

I was real disappointed when my ride backed out of the Charlotte B.o.B. concert with Lupe. I've been riding with him since Mellow Fellow days. I'm glad he's finally getting what he deserves. Great verse by labelmate TI.
@FredRico maybe the reason they wouldn't release rights is because of Jay-Z. He spit one of the best verses in hip-hop over this song. Maybe they didn't want to taint that. Regardless, this was a great song to add to B.o.B's collection. Can't wait for the album on Tuesday. |

Dam sample clearance, this would of been a great album track (I doubt it would of gotten the single treatment). T.I. (aka The King Of The South) once again delivered a great verse. B.o.B. is on a roll, all Ive been hearing from him is dope music.

B.o.B. is far from loosing. Collaborating with names such as Eminem, T.I., on tour with Lupe only his haters would disagree about his stardom potential. Shame it didn't make it the album but Thank You Booth for making it available here :)
B.o.B. can make a track about anything but excels when he raps/sings about his determination and struggle in the music industry. T.I. doesn't disappoint either. The 27th can't get here fast enough. @ XuUP17: Shame your ride fell through. B.o.B. was amazing when they came to New York. He's an amazing performer and brings something new as he starts playing his various guitars |

[Chorus]
Just because I’m losing doesn’t mean I’m lost They gave me nothing but doubt first they waited then they hated then they counted me out Just because I’m losing doesn’t mean I’m stuck They say I lost my way but first I showed'em then I sold'em right in front of their face [Verse 1 - B.o.B] Well this is the world that we live in one minute you the hero the next you the villain we got up in this game just to try to make a living and hit you with the truth while you watching television but still these are the cards that we dealt they kick you on the ground when you most need help until you dried up and they sit you on the shelf and then you start to cry cause you all by yourself so just know if you wanna wear the belt the only way to excel is the soul that you sell so I could care less about the clothes on myself I’m trying to drive straight on a road made of nails yeah, I got to pay the toll if I fell or else it'll be another story to tell I’m getting to the door I can tell I’m just waiting on the day till the glory prevails [Chorus] [Verse 2 - T.I.] All I know is keep going, sh!t don’t stop until the huss double up put the click on top used to wanna have the bricks on lock til we went to prison saw we couldn’t pick them locks easy decision now a n!gga think I lost my touch listen if I aint the realest ever done it I aint off by much so please don’t wake me up if I’m dreaming in the fast lane speedin’ no safety belt and it’s a marathon pace yourself in this race for wealth talkin’ sh!t just a waste of breath chasing me like chasing your tail you'll never catch it respect is something you never get if you never had it I’m looking back and laughing this life of mine brought me all way here from a life of crime just a constant reminder that the end I’ll be always the one who knows all sees all because… (WOW!) [Chorus] [Verse 3 - B.o.B] Yeah, well these are my predictions I’ll be on the top 40 with a big hit traveling the world trying not to get sick and I’ma get more friends on my friends list and then after that I’ll be famous and everyone I know will tell me that I’m changing and then my cell phone will never stop ringing and I’ll be all over magazine pages yeah and they’ll play my songs till they boring and if I ever do stop touring they'll treat me like a foreigner Don’t believe me ask Lauren… (Jay-Z line reference ;) nice) [Chorus] (this was sponsored by: Mr Top Hat :p) |

@XuUP17: I agree that was a great verse, but come on, this one even pays respect for that of Jay's ("don't believe me ask Michael...")
Still, that would be a better reason than just "the people who are in charge of the Coldplay catalog are assholes". (which is more likely) :s |

This is a leftover that didn’t make the album !?! *shrugs* Sample clearance issues are a b!tch !!! This woulda went perfect after "Airplanes Pt.1" ... Digging the chorus, three well-spat verses to address the critics, a melodic river on which they are afloat and I’ve been jammin’ with it for about 45 minutes now while I work. And I figure it’s time to share it with y'all - The album is not perfect but its deeper than that now! For past one year we've been saying to each other: "The man never ceases to amaze me." "B.o.B is on another level." "Can't wait for the album to drop!" Just like "Slaughterhouse" and "Attention Deficit", the album is not without its flaws BUT none of them are big enough for the listener to back down from his claims of copping the album. Point is, time to support! @FredRico - Good work broski! Right down to my editing style, huh? Você é meu amigo favorito na Internet! :p |

WOW! b.o.b (one of the hottest names in the game right now), t.i (who i believe is rejuvenated and better than ever after jail time) and j.r rotem (one of my favourite producers) are all on a track together!! and it samples coldplay... call me biased if you like but ive already clicked banger and got my mouse hovering over classic and the music player hasnt even loaded yet!
down to the song: b.o.b has a nice flow on the verses, maybe not his best but certainly up there. love the hook though. t.i as i mentioned earlier sounds on top of everything after coming out of jail. j.r did really well on the beat- the sample was dope i reckon. yep- certified classic |

B.O.B has been blowing up lately, and releasing hot tracks in a short span. The production on this is smooth. B.O.B has one of those flows that keep you interested. TI was nice on this, showing he still has it in him.

Wow, this seriously angers me that this didn't make the album. The entire record just seems full of soul. T.I. and B.o.B seem on point here. I want to give it a 5 but just can't seem to find the edge to make it more than a 4.

Sucks this didn't make the cut. Nice chorus. B.o.B killed it like he has on almost all of his songs I've heard. T.I did a nice job too. T.I seems to have fallen into these types of songs and not so much the T.I of old. Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily. He does a good job at it. Is it a good thing? Not necessarily. He had real good street hits that made people wanna act like they were from Atl. The song was great tho
