What do you do after you drop a highly acclaimed mixtape, get signed by a major label, perform all over award shows, have your debut album go #1, release numerous hit songs and get nominated for a slew of Grammys, 5 in all? You release another mixtape. I know the story sounds more than a little unusual, but B.o.B (a.k.a. Bobby Ray) is anything but conventional. And instead of resting on his laurels, he’s obviously still out to prove something with the first leak from his upcoming No Genre mixtape, Beast Mode. Here B.o.B. absolutely spazzes out over the Infinity crafted beat, jumping all over the bouncy production with a more aggressive style than we’re used to. Lyrically, Bobby Ray touches on a wide range of topics, from his own success to whether or not he can actually be classified as a rapper, with the skill and complexity we’ve come to expect. With No Genre dropping on Tuesday and the video already in rotation, expect B.o.B. to make 2011 even better than his “freshman” campaign…as nearly impossible as that may be.

Beast Mode, probably two of the most overused words in '10 hell i use them when i'm beasting on some black ops..get at me ! but back to the song i like this joint old school B.O.B just rhyming sometimes he's tripping over his words but i'd bump it in the ipod

I couldnt have picked a better track to make my re-entrance. I've had a workout playlist titled "Beast Mode" (from a lil wayne lyric in "no love") and you guys betta believe this is gettin added to that playlist. B.o.B straight murks this track. |

You know what your getting with this song, a straight up battle record and it's nicely done. Nice record from Bobby Ray, hopefully it'll be as good as the mixtape May 24th.

I like B.o.B so I'm not trying to hate but I don't think he is really spazzing out on this. I get that it is different from the album so it catches you off guard but I wouldn't say I'd put this in rotation. Maybe it will grow on me but I'm not sure it has replay value.

I have been a HUGE fan of B.o.B. ever sense his record "ill be in the sky". When i first heard that song, i was an instant fan for life. And then he drop record after record. With different styles in all of them. You can help but agree that B.o.B is the most versital artist in the game, no doubt. He does it all, better than anyone.
This record is an addition to his resume. The dude is so talented. He can do any genre of music, if he wanted. "Beast Mode" is crazy good. He goes hard in this. And i loved every second of this song. The production from Infinity makes this record that much better. Its great to hear from Bobby Ray. I cant wait to hear more from him. A Classic for me. |

Man this track is a straight banger! I haven't been on this site in a while, and coincidentally I run across this song while listening to the 'No Genre' mixtape. Great mixtape and encourage everyone to listen to it if you have not!! I've been listening to B.O.B aka Bobby Ray since 2007 when he came out with 'Haters Everywhere'. Definitely one of the most if not the most versatile person in the game.

To think, 2 years ago I didn't even know or cared to know what a B.o.B. was, but thanks to Beast Mode, I'm gonna be tracking him down as much as I do J. Cole.
The production is the only thing holding the song back, but it's definitely still repeat worthy. |
