After Shawnna‘s unexpected departure from Disturbing tha Peace, many fans feared that the label would no longer have any of that good ol’ Chicago swagger.  Out to reassure those fans of otherwise are DTP’s newest signees, Block Xchange, certified natives of Country Club Hills, Illinois.  On their newest release they delve into their lifestyle in their neck of the Chi-Town woods, declaring their love for the Music that has helped them along the way.  Hometown hero Twista pitches in with eight bars of firepower and longtime DTP producer Ice Drake (Luda’s Splash Waterfalls) adds his futuristic-sounding keyboard-synth to add flair.  Although this Music might have the 312 written all over it, there’s no reason why Block Xchange shouldn’t extend their appeal throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Twista's flow is unrivalled in my opinion.. he can talk so fast that he can fit bars into any speed of a beat.. this song is a banger

I expected this song to be garbage, with the 8 bars from Twista being the highlight point. But oh how I was mistaken, Block Xchange actually puts it down!

Block Xchange is the highlight I’ve seen from DTP lately (oh Chingy, excuse me!). Great flow and speed changes from all involved. Beat is solid and still allow’em to shine! They deserve Ludacris’s support and won’t let him down (I’d like to hear a track ft. Luda)!

This duo has A LOT of talent. They have been promised the possibility of an album by Q3. If you like this, cross those fingers!

As far as the sample, I was skeptical about how it would sound because they would be competing with j cardim (Jae MillZ - holla at a playa) and 9th wonder (Masta Ace - good ol' love)

verdict: great work, I was also thinkin that twist would spit only 8 barz... well over my expectationz
