After busting shots around Bodymore, Murderland with club hit Tote It, DJ Blaqstarr began penning popular singles for local artists and working with the likes of ’08 sensation M.I.A. The inspired young Baltimore DJ, whose home studio is known as “The Cloud,” has extended his range, however, on his own brand new record, In The Mood. On the swaggeriffic song, Blaqstarr tag-teams with Rye Rye to give the clubs a dose of a hood Peter Gabriel. The end result doesn’t sound like anything you’d hear at a B-More club, but it should mean plenty of attention and possibly a label deal for Blaqstarr and his producing buddy, Young L. Hopefully In The Mood a song that allows listeners to zone out and escape from life’s ills, will do a little to soothe the streets of one of America’s most dangerous cities.

This is a pointless track. I don't see it being played on MTV, BET, radio, or anywhere. It's just stupid, pointless, and i will never listen to it again. Blaqstarr and Rye Rye- nope and the beat- nope.

So Blaqstarr is just going to disregard that he has the same name as one of the greatest hip hop groups in history...even though he spells it different? Hmmm....interesting. The production is eclectic. It should have been a little louder. His vocals were not good at all to me. Rye Rye was decent...but who is that? A 13 year old girl? IDK. I agree. This is pointless.

I like the production a lot but he's weak man, seems like he's dying while he's singing! Ok for the music

The production is definitely the standout feature. I'd like to hear more featured work from Blaqstarr.

... lets keep it coming.
