Four years after the release of their last studio album, the tremendously successful Monkey Business, the Black Eyed Peas are back and bigger than ever. What’s their secret? My hypothesis can be summed up in three words: “be the beat.” Since that approach worked wonders on E.N.D. lead single Boom Boom Pow (their biggest hit to date), the foursome have decided to go a similar route on the follow-up, I Gotta Feelin’. Predicting that “tonight’s gonna be a good night,” the Peas detail the evening’s agenda (party, live it up, raise the roof, and do it all over again at the next spot) over will.i.am‘s sprightly, bass-heavy boardwork. Catchy, danceable, and packed with energy, this record has all the makings of a hit summer jam, and I Gotta Feelin’ it will be just as successful as its predecessor. With The E.N.D‘s June 9th release date on the horizon, only one question remains: are you ready to vibe?

Ah, the good old Peas...last two singles tore it up. This one...very, VERY different from them. I don't actually think I'm a fan of this one as much...I love Fergie's part, she sounds great with the production. Other than that...it doesn't have the Peas vibe. It doesn't make me want to get out my chair and dance. Production is hot though. I'll throw this in rotation.

With the past few PEAS features we've run, I was not sold right away. After a few hundred listens, things changed. However, with "I Gotta Feeling" there is something different. Maybe its the incredibly catchy hook? The head nodding bounce of the beat? Ahh, who cares. This is good. I will happily endorse.

Once again, Will.I.Am's production is the only thing I really enjoyed on this track. Fergie was decent, though nothin special in my eyes.

I liked this more than both of the previous singles. I thought it was a little smoother and the overall song flowed better. Rotation.

I can respect this, but I can't call it a personal Banger of mine. If I can sip my Haterade real quick, this sounds something like a Kelly Clarkson throwaway track mixed with the next prom anthem for high schoolers mixed with the theme song for the next season of "The Hills"! LOL.
But on a positive side, it is an enjoyable listen, just a little off from the club ready Peas tracks we've grown accustomed to. I wish they'd stick with the heavy 808 and club tracks, but this will be a MASSIVE hit on a worldwide standpoint. |

Yea this group survives by the production. Will.I.Am is phenominal, cuz he makes me enjoy this mainstream sound that I normally shun. In rotation just because it was makin me feel good.

The vibe on this song is good and I like how they switched it up from thier usual style. A more R&B style production and Fergie does her thing on this one. Nice hook..perfect song for the summer. Solid track

Filled with pleasant vibes that would make anyone feel good ... & I luv the simplictiy of the hook too ... a surefire Summer HITT ... 4.5 but i will round up cos im pretty sure i be bumpin this alot once my Papers are over ... |

Eh...I am feeling "Boom Boom Pow" much more, this is just plain boring. Could catch on, but its only because they are a popular group. If this was a new group, the song would flop HARD.

This one is definitely played out in my car ALREADY - it's THAT good! "ALIVE" is the song that the Booth needs if it doesn't have it!! It's a classic for sure. Best of Will & Fergie one part Fergie steals her own melody off "my humps" with "my love my love my love". I'll shut up - just check it out.

This is kinda weird for the BEP...are they changing direction or is this only an isolated case?! I'm feeling this, it has a really good vibe. It makes me move, it's for clubs and radio friendly. It's not typically theirs of course, but artists MUST try different things!

I"m with Bowwserr. I love the dance direction they're taking, but when I listen to BEP I expect weird. Boom Boom Pow: weird shit. I don't get that left of center vibe from this track.
Anyone else think the opening guitar lick sounds like Love Is Gone by David Guetta? |
