Black EL - The Stickup Kid
Artist: Black EL
Producer: Ryan Durkin
Album: A Major Minority
Label: Unsigned
DJBooth favorite Black Element may have had to push back the release of his debut album several times, but the wait was well worth it. Now that it’s finally dropped the Beantown-to-New York emcee is trying to keep his buzz alive with the party-inducing cut, The Stickup Kid. This fresh single off of A Major Minority finds EL becoming “Don Cheadle for the people,” over a bouncy, club track by producer Ryan Durkin. While the witty newcomer’s lyrics may draw some comparisons to a certain West Coaster with a penchant for name dropping, Black Element doesn’t allow himself to be overshadowed by the beat. A Major Minority is available for free download here.

This song is almost horrible sorry. I'm feeling his flow and his voice but what's this production? It's too weird, can't stand it...it's too fast to dance to and it makes me hysterical! Voices in the hook are too electronic. OK only for the creativity and for him
