How many times have you seen a grandfather with corn-rows or a PTA member in a compromising photo posted on MySpace? Bishop Lamont has seen it all. And frankly, he’s tired of these individuals. No stranger to our Booth, Lamont goes featureless over a Dr. Dre beat on Grow Up. As the first single off his forthcoming debut, the record speaks directly to anyone who is… well… immature. Going in a completely different direction from DJ Khalil’s rock-rap flair on City Lights, Dre provides a classic, bumpable and uncomplicated Cali low-rider beat, perfect for driving by wankstas who are at the bus stop fully dressed in D&G. Bishop’s debut LP, The Reformation, is set to be released this winter.
Real Talk and real lyrics right here...Its on a sick Dre beat and its something you could definitely listen to when your rollin' around in the coupe...This Right here is a definite Banger.
This beat is fire as usual DRE! I have been hard on the kid lamont cause he remind me of fifty, but on this he sounds nothin like the hitler of hip hop! This is actually a really good track on all fronts!
CLASSIC WEST COAST BEAT CRAFTED NICLEY BY DR DRE,BISHOP LAMONT IS LEARNING HIS RAP TRADE UNDER DRE SOUNDZ PROMISING FLOWS NICELY ON THIS CAN BUMP THIS AGAIN 4SHO..
Its the reformation of the West Coast. Detox is comin... Lamont said its abou 60-70% done in an interview on skee.tv.. but nonetheless.. this guy gonna blow up big under Dre.
Crazy ass beat from Dr. Dre!!! Is he EVER gonna drop Detox??? Damn. I haven't heard much of Lamont, but he tears this song up. Ozzylee, I'm not hearing the 50 comparison. If anything, he sounds like Red Cafe. This track would bump up to instant classic with a remix verse from Dre himself, or even The Game...........or both!
ohhhhhhh i loved the beat instantly! Loved the lyrics! I wouldn't have known about Bishop Lamont had it not been for the booth so Thank you Booth for introducing me to him! I'm a fan! :)
Yeah, feeling this song..like how it isn't all souped up w/ the beat and loud lyrics...just good enough for those who need to hear the message clearly.
Bisoph will be inside the Booth next week talking about Detox, his new album and much more. This is only a sampling of what this man has in store for us all. I'd be extremely happy if you are a west coast music fan.
wow...this is a real banger, the message is true, and the mellow beat just makes this song amazing. Bishop impressed me with this track. hopefully his other records wont contradict this...
beat is straight...drunline sounds like flashing lights to me lol...anyways the rest of the instrumentation is crazy nice...i actually think its too much for bishop on this one...his content straight but it doesn't compliment this beat...
When listening to his other songs, I never thought Bishop Lamont lived up to his potential. This song just proves me wrong. I don't wanna say too much because he said it...
Okay as everyone noted this is a beat from the Doctor. But what the hell you doing producing this beat?? Shouldn't you be working on DETOX!? Anyways. Once again the beat is tight and straight Westcoast. The lyrics are on point along with his flow. The Chorus however could be alot better. Its real annoying how he keeps saying "up up up up". But I can kinda live with that. BANGER!!
Of course the beat bangs and of course Bishop rips it Dre wouldn't stand for less. The good doctor says Detox has been done for a min. and that he'll put it out when he feels it's time. He's been in the studio with his Aftermath artisis bangin out beats for their albums like this joint.
THIS TRACK IS EXACTLY WAT HIP HOP NEEDS....SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE CAN RELATE TO NAH MEAN.....THIS TRACK IS ACLASSIC IN MY BOOK......KEEP IT UP UP UP UP UP
