When Lil Wayne first released Always Strapped, few expected the record to achieve the level of success it has. Birdman, however, saw the then-mixtape track’s true potential, and reworked it for release as the lead single off his forthcoming senior album, Priceless. About three years later, the single version has peaked at #65 on the Billboard Hot 100. You know what that means: time for an official remix! Where others would settle for a few added guest features, the recession-proof Birdman goes all out, calling on the 100 Million gang for a truly epic revamp. After an unusually brief (and quiet) DJ Khaled intro, Weezy spits a brand new opener. Rick Ross and Young Jeezy handle the middle section, firing off their most potent lyrical ammunition before making way for Birdman himself, who brings out the big guns on his closing verse—even Mr. Beatz turns up the firepower, contributing a slightly-tweaked instrumental. It all adds up to a Rambo-esque musical rampage sure to take the Southern streets by storm.

i give props to wayne for making an ACTUAL REMIX (different verse)
but what i think is wack is the fact that he picked the most OBVIOUS people to put on the remix. but it doesnt flop. rick coulda came harder though. |

This production is just sick, especially during the hook. It just has banger written all over it, and you throw Wayne on and its ova. Wayne is pretty average lyrically, but it was nice to see him come real hard on this track. Rick Ross does what you would expect, as does Jeezy. I wasn't really feelin anything Jeezy said, but he came wit some intensity. Birdman exceeded my expectations on this track, a lot of the same lyrical material but still cool to listen to. I'll rate this 3.5 and round up.

Ready for this one...
I am sick of Wayne, Ross sounded bored, Jeezy sounded bored, and Birdman was tight. [I never though I would be typing that sentence.] Overall, the champion on this record is its producer, Mr. Beatz, who really does his J.O.B.

I agree with what Juanito_88 said when he mentioned the production and hook sounding like a true banger. Weezy was pretty tight, but I was a little disappointed with Ross and Jeezy. Birdman impressed me, though, on the back-end. 3.5

Solid Prod & some decent verses from Weezy & Ross ... I've never really liked Jeezy’s flow so dont care much about his TRAP talk ... Birdman does his thing on this track with the lyrics & sounds extremely/most comfortable over Mr.Beatz bangin instrumental ... 3.5

eh that kinda sucked but the beat is sick
you can tell that the lyrics in the original and the hook were recorded 2 years before this which kinda contributes to how weird this sounds I really don't understand why people like wayne now hes terrible and most of the reason I won't be able to listen to this alot |

BEEN waiting for one of these epic remixes!! Usually love them. Lil waynes verse was good but I've heard so much wayne that I need him to come REALLY hard for me to be impressed, he spit an above average verse though. Ross has that stupid "pussys dont get @*#$!" hes been saying, I feel like he tried birdmans flow a little bit at the start which was weak but then he went back to his flow which I enjoyed. Jeezy has been making me sleep a little bit recently, verse was average. Birdman killed it, hes been suprising me like crazy recently

Yeah I'm with Z and bowserr on this(I hate to be a copy-cat). Where was Jeezy's energy? Average lyrics....I was kinda exited when I saw the line up. I'm kinda falling of Lil Wayne right now, after "Every Girl" I've lost faith.
