Baby aka Birdman - Fire Flame (Remix)
Artist: Baby aka Birdman
Featuring: Lil Wayne
Producer: Kill Will
Album: Like Father, Like Son 2
Label: Cash Money Records
I’ve never been to prison (sh*t, there goes my street cred), but if I had just spent eight months behind bars, I know the first item on my agenda would be hanging out with the fam. Seems like Lil Wayne had the same idea – fortunately for fans, his and Birdman‘s version of “quality time” involves recording new collaborative material. The newly-freed Weezy’s first effort, a remix of his adopted father’s Fire Flame, finds him sounding understandably rejuvenated, gleefully name-dropping Lucille Ball and rhyming words that were never meant to be rhymed with one another (“cruelty/Rubik’s”) over Kill Will‘s sproingy synth arpeggios. As for Tunechi’s daddy, well, the Cash Money head honcho stunts as enthusiastically as ever, showing off his fat stacks, his tommy gun and his expensive whips in verses that drip with Southern swagger. So, readers, does this cut live up to its redundantly repetitious title? If you think so, you’ll want to keep it locked – Like Father Like Son 2, Baby and Wayne’s sophomore full-length as a duo, has yet to receive a release date, but we’ll keep you supplied with all the latest news and tunes.

The first thing on my agenda would definitely not be hanging out with the fam. I think every guy understands what i mean.
As for the track, i think prison hasn't took anything away from Weezy. which is a huge relief for me. Production is crazy and birdman doesn't make me want to kill myself. So i give it 4 stars. |

This is perfect for Like Father, Like Son 2. Wayne still isn't really saying anything, but I'm starting to treat him like Birdman. Neither of them will spit a lyrically solid verse, but if you look at what they each do, they both do it well. Good shallow music to bang in the car or at parties.

Wayne stole the show, not like Birdman was capable of doing it.

Lil Wayne totally bossed the song. and Birdman's verse is thankfully just forgettable, not god awful horrible. beat is fire. I could never see Eminem jumping on that kind of beat and making it his b*tch. Wayne has his niche in music

Wayne was just owning the song.. If Birdman could have topped him it would have been better... O well... can't always have what you want..

This is such a southern-fried beat; Weezy definitely steals the show. Birdman was decent, but as always, is mediocre. Why he and Diddy are still rapping is...beyond me...

The souths greatest not-currently-incarcerated artist is doing his thing. I liked Waynes verses...he sounds like his ol self...like younger...like drug free! the 5 star stunna spit a 3 star verse (for a change) 5 stars cuz its Wayne first joint since he got out. Welcome home Tune!

Weezy's first verse after prison! Weezy's first waffle after prison! Weezy' first sneeze after prison!
I'm as happy as anyone to see Wayne free, but no one would be this excited if it wasn't his first verse as an un-incarcerated man. Especially considering how typically mediocre Birdman is. |

You can tell Weezy didn't smoke any weed in prison, because this is the clearest I have ever heard his voice... since maybe when he was a 13 year old Cash Money emcee. I don't care for Papa Birdman, or the silly hook, but the production and the return of Weezy are excellent.

I like the production, that was the stand out part of the song. The hook is ok because this song is about blowing money and trust me if you blowing money you wouldnt give a uck about the critics.
Weezy was just weezy on this track and birdman did his usually money on the dash. |

The production from Kill Will is defenity the stand out part in the start. Its straight fire. Lil Wayne sounds great. His voice seems more clear....
Lil Wayne's opening verse is hard. I love the energy of this. This record is gonna be in the top 3 on the charts. A def BANGER!!!! Welcome back Weezy!!!! |

I'm feelin' the synthy-melodic-style production... The hook iz contagiouz... Bidrdman'z flow could've been (a lot) better... But... Wayne'z two (very short) versez were very impressive... 3 - ***'z

Birdman as usual is useless! I don't even know why he's still need to do the rapper but the production is tight !

It's a wonderful thing to hear mah dude's back at it like father like son 1 was an all around great cd. I don't know if everbody was truly listenin to the lyrics or tryin to just pick it apart cuz wayne is fresh out but the boi's words were sharp. Most definately give him a big wlecome back. Birdman is just doin and talkin like a Boss do.. @ Birdman get that bread not everybody is ment to understand your language homie..
