While M.O.P. has never captured the commercial success that many of their fans think they deserve (and dread), you would be hard-pressed to find a single person that can’t find something to like about them. They spit from the heart with an unparalleled intensity that can get even the most casual head throwing their hands in the air. While Billie Danze and Lil’ Fame have temporarily separated to pursue their own solo careers, neither is expected to stray too far from the hardcore style that has attracted their cult following. Danze’s delivery in his new single, Savages, stays true to the group’s trademark up-in-your-face approach. The track features a heavily-sampled, oddly familiar-sounding beat by Emile. M.O.P. may be trying new things, but they’re way too good together to stay apart for long.
Annie Up! Gaf that Fool! I like this right here. Late 90's East coast feel. Right up my ally! This will get some spins in my crib, I don't know bout anyone elses though! 3.5
I'm definitely feeling the production by Emile! That's my style right there! Bill Danze is highly energetic with the flow. I like that. This is straight.
Most of you are not familiar with M.O.P., so it is no surprise that Billy comes off as a new artist. The man has a very loyal fan base and frankly, its size is probably what has always kept the group back. I am glad they left G-Unit Records (after releasing nothing), but they need to stay together.
I've always been a big fan of MOP. And Billy Danze over an Emile beat is good. He rips this beat. I don't know why more people don't like it. Its probably like Z said. Nobody knows who he is.
