Big Whiskey - Black Out
Artist: Big Whiskey
Featuring: King Mez , Shane Eli
Producer: Jaemix
Album: That Hard Chill
Label: Morgue Muzik
When you come to consciousness somewhere other than your bed, without any memory of what you did to get there, odds are the answer’s not going to be anything good. Booth newcomer Big Whiskey is the exception to the rule; on his latest single and first feature, the North Carolina rhymesayer boasts of his tendency to Black Out in the booth, and wake up to realize he’s just spit a killer verse. Jaemix mans the boards, layering atmospheric synths over a mellow, yet driving rhythm section as the artist showcases his talent for spitting straight from the subconscious. DJBooth faves King Mez and Shane Eli, along with newcomer Teknique, showcase their own talent for free-association on the guest tip. For Black Out and much more, check out That Hard Chill when it drops digitally on Saturday, the 24th.

I like this one. Cool care-free beat by Jaemix and tight work on the verses by everyone. Good Collaboration joint.

Not really digging the sound of the beat with their flows. Good flows from everyone though. Shane Eli sounded good on this one.

The beat was okay.. I like his message. Hip hop is dead but we can resuscitate it!!

Quite the one up on this one. Every single artist owned this track! I think that king mez went pretty hard, but Shane Eli came out of nowhere and took the title for best verse, in my opinion.
