It’ll be a few more months before Big Sean can truly say he’s Finally Famous, but the Detroit emcee’s certainly getting there—when unauthorized leaks of your records start appearing on sites across the web, you know the masses are paying attention. Though an unmastered version of Glenwood, the first leaked cut off Sean’s debut LP, has been circulating online since last Friday, fans can rest assured that what we have here is the real deal. In addition to contributing the sparse instrumental, centered around a bare piano vamp, label boss Kanye West jumps on board for a braggadocio-laden opening verse. Sean laces his half of the track with more of the nonchalant, wordplay-laced boasts that earned him reader acclaim for mixtape cut Supa Dupa (“...I rap so good there’s no need for bandages”). Glenwood‘s minimal groove lets both collaborators’ chilled-out rhymes shine, and the record should meet a warm reception from Big Sean’s devotees. Big Sean is fam at DJBooth.net, so my feedback is bias (full disclosure, haha). Kanye sounds great over his own production and returns to true Ye' rap form on this one. Only complaint: I would have loved to hear another verse from Sean.

The PIANO is so addictive on this song. I give this song a four--mostly for the piano. Lyrics are decent. Song was way too short.

Big Sean is the future. This song is so awesome its ridiculous. I love the piano instrumental, it is very addicting.
With Ye and Big Sean on the track its gotta be the ^%*$# I cant wait for the final version. |

I love the piano on this it keeps your head nodding..great production! Kanye West straight killed his opening verse..very impressive. Big Sean is dope as well I like the way he flows on here. Great music!

Only Ye would make such a simple beat and still make it HOT!
I expect big things from Big Sean, his flow and wordplay are just a pleasure to listen (nop, I don't care if he resembles Kanye). And once again "808's Kanye" haters just have to feel stupid for ever doubting this man's rapping skills. |

at all. that keyboard beat is WACK. the only thing even DECENT about this is how big sean sounds like a young kanye with a drake twist. he just sounds cool. but overall, this is a NO-GO. |

This has the potential to @row on me. Not Ye's @reatest beats, but a very @ood verse. I hear its an old one, but who cares, he kills it. Sean has a future, especially with kanye production to mess with, problem is, once a@ain, this dude sounds like drake, seems like I say that alot lately.

The track, though simple, works well on here due to the deliveries/lyrics brought to the table by two GOOD artists ... & as usual Co-sign @FredRico - "Only Ye would make such a simple beat and still make it HOT!" .... "And once again 808's Kanye haters just have to feel stupid for ever doubting this man's rapping skills."

I think the weird (and mediocre) beat doesn't fit their flows at all. I can't stand it, it doesn't sound good to my ears. The overall result is really boring! Not for me

Yeah, I don't know what y'all talkin about. This song is hot. Just got done listenin to 808's, and got inspired to listen to more Ye. This track is hot. And in case you haven't heard 808's, a lot of the production on it was simple. And yet it was hotter than a lot of the stuff out right now. I give this 4 stars.

I LOVE this! I've been feening for some real good Kanye rap verses, the production is a little repetitive but both these dudes shine cuz they got FLOW so regardless of how simple it is they still sound real good over it
I havent heard Big Sean before, and this just got me real real excited about him |

I like the simple beat!!
Sometimes producers go to crazy with beats you dont even know what to listen to cuz there is so much going on!! Big Sean does sound like Drake but has no where near the skills of Drake!! Kanye sounds good specially without the autotune attached!! Ok song overall |

I liked the production. It was pretty repetitive but it was tight. 'Ye sounded great rapping on it and I agree with the Drake similarity with Big Sean. No comparison's though, Big Sean sounded good. It was a little too short though.

I gotta say, this is what i would call "simple but elegant". I like the simple production, but what really impressed me here was the lyrics from Big Sean and Kanye. Both artists just about always deliver with their rhymes. If only this were longer...

i think i'm going to be the only one here who likes the beat - and kanye's verse - but not "the other guy". i call him that b/c to me, most of his verse sounded so OFF beat that i couldn't really pay attention - which leads to the reason why i can't even remember this dude's name unless I scroll back up to the top... not worth it. Ye - take the track and make it your own.

I'm usually a mild fan of Kanye's beats. But my one big criticism of a lot of his production is that it gets a a little too repetitive, and the use of the piano in this track is case in point.
Nice to see Kanye rapping though. His verse was "illy." |

Really feeling this track, the production from Kanye is mad as usual. Love the way the beat is so simple and infectious but I definately feel that it is a 'Mixtape' sort of joint, but with a little more added to the beat and another verse or 2, could be a mad track.
