It’s been many, many years since last I ate the Breakfast of Champions, but I don’t remember it being very remarkable – sorta healthy, sorta crunchy, got soggy after a couple minutes… Once I figured out that it wouldn’t actually make me good at sports, it was No Wheaties for me from there on out. Thankfully, the second official leak off 2000 & Beyond emcee Big K.R.I.T.‘s forthcoming mixtape is much more impressive than the cereal from which it gets its name. Not only does the Mississippi native deliver one of the smoothest instrumentals to hit my eardrums in quite some time, but he also enlists the guest-verse services of two Booth-approved cohorts; New Orleans’ Curren$y and N.Y.C. mainstay Smoke DZA supplement the headliner’s triumphant yet thoroughly laid-back rhymes with celebratory bars of their own. Will No Wheaties score K.R.I.T. the Booth equivalent of a Super Bowl trophy? That’s for you to decide. In any case, fans will find plenty more to vibe out to on the artist’s K.R.I.T. Wuz Here mixtape, set to hit the ‘net April 5.

I'll have to agree with Richard about this great production. KRIT's impressed me the most in two back-to-back features with his totally-under-the-radar chops behind the boards.

I would have liked to hear a little more KRIT on the vocals, but the theme of the song and the guest contributions all make for a solid listen. This is shaping up to be quite the mixalbum...

The soft production is fantastic, and even though I'm not sure if it works well with the guest emcees here, I can't help but like the jazziness and calmness of it.

The beat is molasses-slow and butter-rich, and the smallest of saxophone sample gives it that extra soulful touch. Verses are nothing to complain about either. Very listenable song.

"Sweetness on the track, that Walter Payton flow." Couldn't have said it better myself. I would have liked a slightly more up-tempo record, but chilling out on a Sunday afternoon, this would be perfect.

By the way, the other single Hometown Hero is the @*#$!. This mixalbum's got some serious potential.

I waited all song for the currensy verse and i was pretty disappointed. KRIT was cool and that beat is nice but DZA was just average and overall this is a pretty boring track.

This is one of those songs, you play when it's cloudy out, and you're in the car cruisin' downtown or in your city. I like the laid back track, the saxophone does give this jazzy track the right feel. I agree, I was expecting Curren$y to do a lot better than he did. His name is the reason why I decided to listen to the track, but I enjoyed it. Overall, yes, each rhyme could've been better and maybe the topic doesn't exactly fit the track but it was great easy listening.

This is hot. The production is dope (always had a thing for horns in music). And the lyrics bring back memories.

I HATE giving this only 3 stars because as EVERYONE else has pointed out the production is real enjoyable. DZA's 16 doesn't do much for me on this.
