When Jive wasn’t doing anything with his upcoming album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, Big Boi decided to take control and move the project to Def Jam. However, Jive has blocked the inclusion of two Andre 3000 songs originally intended for Chico. So what is Big Boi’s response? How about the new, sultry Lookin For Ya, featuring the rarely heard from Mr. Benjamin Andre and frequent hook man Sleepy Brown? Straight from Stankonia Studios in Atlanta, Big Boi and his Outkast compatriot Andre 3K have once again created a sonic masterpiece that sounds completely different from anything else right now. Produced by the suddenly omnipresent Boi-1da, the track feels like a perfect blend of what we heard on both Speakerboxx and The Love Below; far from a club joint but still a guaranteed head-nodder. So what are your thoughts DJBooth fam? Is revenge a dish best served funky? With or without Lookin’ For Ya, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty is set to drop on July 6.

It is insane to me that Big Boi will (finally) release a solo project and we won't get nary a verse or vocal contribution from 3 Stacks. I know Andre recorded his work for this project while Big was still entangled over at Jive, but how about calling your brother in music and making a new song? I don't think that is asking for too much, right? Ahh, who knows.
Anywho, let me jump off my soapbox and get into this unreleased (released via Big Boi's Twitter account) cut. It is excellent - the end.

The beginning of the song was wayyy too long. But once it started, it was HOT. Big Boi had a good flow on the beat. The hook could've used some work in my opinion. Andre was nice on this. Definitely wanna hear more from these two. Their different voices sound good on the same track.

I think I speak for eveyone when i say...F**k Jive. Looking forward to what Outkast will bring once Andre 3k gets out of Jive. This is really good, and you can't go wrong with these 3 on a song.

We need another Outkast album... and soon. Boi-1da did his thing on the boards and the contribution from Sleepy was dope. I still dont think its possible for me to dislike anything these two make.

Let's review: fo yo sorrows, shutterbug, general patton and now lookin fo ya (maybe). Goddamn. I couldn't possibly be more stoked for the release of Chico Dusty.
Come on Jive. Not only is this one of the first Outkast tracks we've heard in a minute, we never get to hear Andre 3K anymore period. The man's like a hip-hop hermit.

I've never heard such a soft-voiced track from Big Boi and his art for the album looks soooo sexxi. I have a new crush. =] I've always loved his ability to rhyme and always liked his lyrical flow, but this track brought a new experience to the table for a Big Boi song.

This is by far one of the best tracks I've heard in a minute!! I love when they get together and create a cognac cadillac masterpiece..Andre and Big Boi spit pure fire and Sleepy got the dry ice melody..hott, nah, past hot, the word hasn't been created but its true music at it's best!

I agree with that1kid13 and the pizza reference. Big Boi holds his own, but its just not the same without Andre 3 Stacks. I didn't expect this beat from Boi-1da at all, but I like its fast synthy pace. Great trio of artists. Can we get another Outkast album? Can Organized Noize do ALL the production? Wishfull thinking.
