Outkast is back!  Well, sort of.  On the first sampling from his forthcoming solo debut, Sir Luscious Left Foot (Son of Chico Dusty), rapper Big Boi throws down the ultimate Royal Flush alongside his rhyme partner, Andre 3000, and Wu Tang constituent, Raekwon.  Over atypical Outkast production, all three MCs go off in different lyrical directions; each impressive with a spattering of humorous pop culture references and veteran wit.  Though Big Boi wastes his time spitting the line, “Impeach the president, because he don’t think before he talk,” as opposed to focusing on the upcoming November election, it’s clear he hasn’t lost a step after taking time off to film Who’s Your Caddy.

This funky beat is a break from the Normal hip-hop sound and it is pretty good. The flow of Big Boi is playful and laid back. The production is on-point with the beat changes! Raekwon lays it down on here. He is a good fit for the track. Andre is the BEST on here! This is a BANGER right here!

The kings of down south are back--outkast is the best! No one can touch them from the south. The beat is FUNKY. I am digging this beat. The flow is marvelous like a well oiled engine.

Very hot beat, all three are rappers with a unique style that's very contrasting but works well (especially the transitions between artists). At least Big Boi is bringing out something decent, especially after his flop of a movie "Who's Your Caddy" (though I quite enjoyed it).

Is this Big Boi's song or Andre 3000's? Big Boi/Raekwon make up half the song, and Dre is the other half. Regardless, it's a great song.

Uhmm… I like to call Lil Wayne the best rapper alive but Andre 3000 and a few others really make us wonder if that’s correct. 3000’s lyrics/flow are always hot and I’d say he’s more consistent than Weezy. I love the freshness on this production, the bassline grabbed from the start, the percussion is varied, I like how it breaks down, guess I’d love if it had a full chorus… all 3 rappers did an amazing job with it. I’d like to hear a remix with Soulja Boy :p

Rule #1 for my DJBooth: If WOW!! doesn't like it, it's probably a banger for true hip-hop fans; she'd just rather listen to Souljaboytellem.com for the millionth time.

I often wish she'd just review that pop-rap she likes and leave classic-sounding hip-hop alone...

Exactly

This track bangs. I say it goes Andre 3000, Raekwon, and Big Boi as far as best to 2nd to 3rd. But the fact is, they all snapped and the production is mad chill. This is a classic.

Oh, and as for WOW, at least she didn't use the word "dis"

Mr Burmy sorry but I find you unfair...everyone has the right to express his opinion here, no? if WOW!! likes pop-rap then good for her! If a song isn't her style she can express it, I can't see the problem! maybe the world can live without her rating, but it can live without yours, too! I think we should only talk about music, not criticise other members...
Maybe this is real hip hop, well I find it boring! Real hip hop or not, everyone has his own tastes...and I personally don't like this song. I prefer pop-rap, as u have called it! Luckily we have different opinions, otherwise the world would be sooo flat...For Michael: if she loves the word dis then she can write it! it's not a bad word...

Matter of fact PattyPatty85, when your opinion is based only on your tastes and doesn’t have any objectivity in it (which was WOW!!’s comment in this case), your asking for personal criticism. Damn, she wrote something as personal as: “i dont like it becuz it's not my style...so i dont like it.” It’s not fair to rate like that either! You’re right, we should only talk about music, but when your comments are a mirror of your persona, people gon talk about you.

FredRico you are right, I understand this! Like WOW!! I sometimes write comments based on my personal tastes because I don't know hip hop so good...so it happens I only write "my type of song/not my type of song", being perfectly aware not to be so helpful. But I usually try to describe how I feel the beat, the flow ecc (in my ignorance, obviously). My problem with Mr Burmy is that he was teasing a person he doesn't know! this disturbed me coz it has nothing to do with music, the main aim of this site...so I told him to talk just about music ;) But it's a stupid thing, let's stop here, peace & love!! :)
