Following in the footsteps of Weezy F. Baby‘s Lollipop, arguably the biggest single thus far in ‘08, is fellow Hot Boys alumnus and early-day mentor B.G..  On the latest prequel to his long-awaited Atlantic debut, Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood, the New Orleans O.G. offers up yet another candy-related metaphor by trying to sample some of the ladies’ Bubblegum.  Hoping that there is enough for everyone, Geezy’s Chopper City Boyz each provide verses, several of which make you want to turn up the volume.  Together with manager Lady Dolla‘s closing hook vocals and Joe Blow da C.E.O.‘s beat, Bubblegum will continue to bang for listeners who have that sweet tooth.

This is a lean and snap track, generic, ignorant and catchy.

This is Soulja Boy's hip hop...not feeling this! I agree with WOW!! when she writes she can move to this, I could too but I refuse doing it! They made no efforts for this song, it's quite generic

I don't know why Chopper City feels it has to go this route and release songs like this, to gain a buzz. They have way too much talent on that label, to put out a song like this. The real Chopper City fans knows they known for that gutta raw street music. But anybody who's new to them is going to judge them by this single and think this is all their capable of. You can still release street singles and build a large enough buzz. If it's a hot song, people are going to flock to it. Personally I think they should have went with "Taking Over" off their first album as their single, instead of "Make Em Mad". There were a lot more and better responses from people who heard that song. The reason why Lollipop worked for Lil Wayne, is cause he already had a big buzz to begin with and the song had great production and a great hook. This song production is good, but that's about all. Gar and Snipe are way more lyrical and can come way harder. This song isn't the type of track for them. I hope they release something else as a single. Cause I would like to see them successful, but im afraid they will flop with this track, although I hope not.
