B.G. - Back to the Money (Remix)
Artist: B.G.
Featuring: Baby aka Birdman , Lil Wayne
Producer: Oddz.N.Endz
Album: Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood
Label: Chopper City/E1/Atlantic
Hold on to your hats! Back to the Money, the lead single off B.G.‘s 11th studio album, has received… drumroll, please… a remix! OK, OK, this might not be as “unexpected” as the artist claims in the intro but still, fans of the Cash Money rapper should find the latest version of the track a pleasant non-surprise. This time around, Baby Gangster and hookman Magnolia Chop are joined by everyone’s favorite (adoptive) father-son team; Weezy F. laces his verse with the most creative (“interview/linen suit/lemon juice”) and least creative (“motherf*cker/motherf*cker”) rhymes I’ve heard all day, while Birdman comes with the same brand of love-it-or-hate it lyrical stunting we’ve come to expect. While I would be surprised if this revamp converted anyone who didn’t dig the original, the added star power certainly doesn’t hurt the record’s appeal – what do you think, Booth readers? Whatever your take on the matter, you can find plenty more where this came from on the N.O. native’s Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood LP, released last December and available now in stores and online.

I gave the original version a "2" rating because, for me, the only highlight was the production from Oddz.N.Endz. Here, we get two additional guest verses (one mediocre, one slightly above mediocre), some revamped B.G. vocals and the same banging production.
I'm feeling generous, so I am going to bump this up a notch ratings-wise, but for two former Hot Boys this remains a slight disappointment. |

I was actually a fan of the original. Been bumpin' it in my headphones for a quick minute now. Seems like every track Baby's on has a dope beat!

Replace Magnolia Chop with Juvenille, get Turk out of prison and you've got a Hot Boyz reunion!
Per usual points detracted for Birdman's "the only reason I'm on this track is because I sign the checks" verse, but BG and Wayne deliver decent performances. Nothing to get excited about. |

Wow I got so distracted by reading the news I kind of didn't hear anybody's verse..my bad but I don't intend to listen again..the prod. was typical cash $ and the lyrics were typical cash $ so just free weezy so he can come back and make another remix for this track, 3rd times the fruit loop diamond charm

This "unexpected remix" is a banger as i expected.
B.G as gangsta as allways and killed the track officialy. Lil Wayne solid , but would have wished to hear more bars from him. his verses sounded kinda short. and Birdman holds it down with his stuntin.expected to hear worst from birdman. the weakest part is the hook though.. but still a banger love it |

Some gangsta shit. Can't say I'm feeling it. Birdman sucks, Lil Wayne is inconsistent with some of the verses he spits and BG is just BG. Hook was okay, but it wasn't really anything special that would have me coming back for more. Eh, not so good.

Enjoy the 2 former Hot Boyz reuniting. Probably coulda done with out the father figure, but it still is pretty good. Beat goes hard. I actually would love to hear a full hot boyz production soon but that probably won't happen.

I actually thought the hook was the highlight. Weezy and B.G. should just get Juvey and remix Ya Heard Me, because thats the best collab between any of the 2 since Hot Boyz.

I like this track, It’s just something you could stunt on why you’re feeling high. I think Birdman and Wayne were needed editions to the song.

Beat def sounds like a Cash Money staple. Birdman needs an intervention to tell him to stick to business deals.
