At the risk of Jay-Z having me killed, there’s not a lot of things I’d rather do than watch Beyoncé on my video phone. Hence my enjoyment of Queen B’s steamy cut Video Phone, a track that’s now being remixed with the addition of the often terrifying Lady Gaga (whose own album The Fame Monster drops soon). While the original, catchy as hell Bangladesh production is left primarily intact, the beat now contains rapid-fire percussion and, interestingly, country western guitars on the opening and big bang horns during the outro. Vocally Beyoncé’s (dope) contributions are untouched, but Lady Gaga definitely brings a new vibe to Video Phone, laying down a verse filled with heavily stylized vocals and obscure pop culture references (I doubt anyone under 40 will get her line “I’ll be your Jean you be my Brando”). Is the remix better than the original? That’s up to the Booth to decide. Video Phone (Remix) is off the deluxe edition of Beyoncé’s last album I Am…Sasha Fierce, set to hit stores on November 23.

Far superior to the original. It's not my favorite track off the album but should serve well as a single. However, am I the only one who feels that this sounds un-mastered? Sounds like a radio-rip. Maybe it's just my speakers.

GaGa stole the show here.

Bangladesh is an overrated producer. His minimalistic style often sounds cheap and it really doesn't make a song hot just by using obscure beats if the rest of the song doesnt hold up.

Aside from the added orchestra arrangments, this track sounds like it could have been produced by Soulja Boy! Was never feeling that winey, melody-less ringtone sound in the background either.

But there is hope! Cuz Beyonce smashed this ish anyway! Lady gaga was a nice addition to this track, its good 2 see her try things outside her usual style.
I think Radio should have been the next single for B, maybe Gaga could have jumped on the remix for that!

Solid offering from Beyonce but I don't think I'll play this again. I agree with Co-Sign3 - Bangladesh is very overrated in my opinion.

Love Gaga's verses and all, but I prefer the original. This version is way too long, thanks to the unnecessary intro.

I'm not really a fan of this song. I've never even heard the original song. Beyonce is blah, blah, blah to me nowadays. (I'd rather listen to Solange, who's new song that came out today called "Stillness Is The Move" is mad dope and better than anything Beyonce is doing for the ART of R&B)

Lady Gaga sounded doper on this song than Beyonce too.

Who would have thought that these two would be making records together? Seriously? I didn't. This is the end result of two record execs saying... "Ya know, we could make a lot of money if we get them to record a few songs together." Thus, we have this remix. Better than the original? Marginally.

This is SICK right here! The beat is so unorthodox, but still has that A-Milli element to it. BEYONCE NEVER SOUNDS BAD...EVER! The original song is cool already, but adding Gaga to the song was a GREAT move. Good Job! BANGER!

Bangladesh's productions are so damn repetitive, no depth or good sound to it. Sped-up percussion was a nice touch but that polytone background is annoying to no limits.

The worst part about this is, it doesn't matter how good or bad it sounds, it i$ a HIT.
