It looks like our resident album reviewer, Nathan S., was spot-on in his prediction that the Sasha Fierce half of Beyoncé‘s latest LP would outperform I Am… on the charts. With Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) beating If I Were A Boy and Diva surpassing Halo, it’s time for Round 3 in the singles battle; facing off against underdog I Am… single Broken-Hearted Girl is the heavily-favored Sasha disc’s Ego. Mrs. Carter enlists the services of her hubby’s “little brother,” Kanye West, for the remix/single version—obviously not lacking on the ego front, ‘Ye lets the world know how frequently his gets stroked (warning: more double entendres ahead!) Though Elvis “BlacElvis” Williams’ jazzy beat could just as easily have been placed on I Am…, this cut should have no trouble continuing Sasha‘s hit streak, as well as inspiring YouTube’s next wave of homemade dance videos.

B has another hit on her hands with this one, no questions. It wasn't my favorite showing from either artists, but it's got hit record written all over it. Kanye's verse is hilarious just because it's all so true haha. Easily more impressive than the original, but its a 3 star.

Kanye!!! I like how the songs starts slow (and Kanye fits perfectly) and then builds up on B's part. They both did a great job with it!
B sounds lovely with those "oooh"... Production is definitely fresh! |

I really am enjoying Kanye's simple and everyday flow on this track! The production is EXCELLENT by Elvis! The Way Beyonce comes on the same time the beat really drops is PERFECTION! This is a SERIOUS BANGER! It should get a whole lot of airplay, and I would be just fine with that.

this is alright although this could of been faster and the production is pretty stink, but over all this is still pretty good. this would definitly make the radio. in to rotation it goes. 3 stars from me gee cause im a tree lols.

I guess you cant say that three letter word in Hip-Hop without mentioning Mr.West ... Kanye's use of tight lyrics and memorable vamps blend in with the song, some hard KO punchlines in the end ... & B killed the beat with her raw emotion ... tho i would have liked the piano throughout the entire song ... but still its a CLASSIC fo me ...

I really prefer it when Kanye doesn't sing....but anyway when he first started off i thought it was cute(the diction he was using) This was def the perfect song for Ye to be on. Well topic wise cause he def has an ego. I personally prefer remixes when the beat has changed (just in some type of way)/sometime ,but its still hot. I really like the chorus on this song its quite catchy. Overall its decent.
