Fresh off bringing down the house at the VMAs, and announcing that she’s pregnant with her first child, Beyoncé‘s got all eyes on her right now—and while collaborating with Lil Jon doesn’t seem like it would be the safest move on paper, in excution Best Thing I Never Had (Remix) is quite dope. Hooking up with DJ Kontrol behind the boards, Jon crafts a more upbeat piano groove to replace Symbolyc One‘s ivory-tinkling, and Shawty Putt contributes a brief guest verse on the back. Not really digging the beat. Her vocals are on point though. Lil Jon and Shawty Putt seem out of place on this one.

im only even rating it cuz of this beat. It's a mary j beat isn't it? i dunno i could be horribly wrong but i kno this beat from somewhere else. Thats it really lol. Bee's vocals are great but this remix is just not the 1 me thinks.

i know a lot of people wouldnt be totally honest about this but this is garbage. beyonce is a very strong vocalist no doubt her vocals wouldnt be on point but lil jon and shawty putt(who is this dude?) c'mon people i know when you're liked you can fart in a room and people would swear it was an aromour of roses but lets be honest this track sux!

Most people believe Beyonce can do no wrong but... seriously? Did anyone else cringe at the sound of Lil John at the beginning? She should've just stuck with the original.
