Trouble – we’ve all gotten into it at some point, and it’s the subject of the latest from ATL/LA-by-way-of-Detroit wunderkind Bei Maejor. But in this case, it’s the kind of trouble that is welcomed when it involves the object of our desire. Bei is a helpless victim of an anonymous temptress who’s doing all the right things to get his engine revved up, and he warns her “I told you not to push that thang up on me when you know I want it. It’s gonna get you in trouble.” Warbling over a seductive, pulsing beat crafted by Bei himself, we’re drawn into this picture of intrigue and unconsciously putting ourselves in his shoes – let’s face it, we’ve all been there at least once. J. Cole is a guest on the track, and for once he’s not rapping like he’s got a chip on his shoulder. You know what I mean – usually he sounds like he’s got that “my-GF-wants-to-have-a-serious-talk-about-her-feelings-5-minutes-into-Game 7” kind of chip on his shoulder (word to @BigGhostfase for breaking it down). While an unmastered version of Trouble had been leaked previously, this final version will be on Bei Major’s debut album with Jive Records, which currently has no release date.

Now this feels really awkard saying this, but this beat bangs. Simple, I know, but it has a lot of bounce. The more I hear from Bei the more I like. Smooth vocals and catchy lyrics. Cole's verse was smooth and catchy as well. The echo effect is just one more reason to like the song, too.

This is a fun song. Bei Maejor seems to wear the singer/songwriter/producer/rapper(?) hat well & that is not an easy feat to accomplish.

Bei does well when he has guest features or when he is a feature. This song sings out what i mean. Though much credit is due to him here, that production is a banger and having cole was a good move. Bei killed the hook too.

The Cole feature had me interested in this track, but I have to say Maejor definitely impressed. The beat understated and really allows his vocals to take over. He has such smooth voice. I can see this being a hit. Even without Cole, it is definitely hit material.

Been playing this off and on for a month or so now. The fact is that it is a smooth track but it has VERY LITTLE replay value. If you put this on your i-Pod, you may give this one up to 10 plays and after that it becomes pretty boring.

Came for the J. Cole feature, but this Bei Maejor got me banging my head. Sounds like a more radio friendly Lyfe Jennings. J. Cole's verse was average at best though, but fit perfectly on the song.
