Even though Bei Maejor’s written a number of hits for the likes of Letoya and Ginuwine in his short career, the young singer/songwriter is interested in much more than simply hanging out with famous musicians in the studio; like, for example, alcoholism and casual sex. While Drunk in the Club is Bei Major’s first solo feature on DJBooth, more detail oriented listeners may remember the Michigan native as the hookman on Plies’ (not exactly Booth approved) She Got It Made. Either way, Drunk in the Club doesn’t exactly push musical boundaries – the vocals are often auto-tuned and the production, by (of course) Bei himself, is synth heavy – I’m sure some Booth listeners will find the hip-hop track entertaining and more than a little easy to relate to. Are you one of them? Recent Jive signee Mr. Maejor has yet to receive a solid title and release date for his forthcoming major label debut, but we’ll be sure to update you with the latest details. In the meantime, don’t drive home drunk from the club. Got it?

Bei is a talented dude (Google him for more proof of this fact), but as a first single on his major label debut this is more than disappointing.
There will be more than a few MDs who won't program this record on their station playlist (KISS looks out for the kiddies) and while it will undoubtedly be played in, ahem, the club I am not sure that'll be enough to create a real buzz for the artist. Looking forward to the NEXT single.

i second dat notion by Z, wut kind of stuff is dis bout drunk in da club,been used before bout be drunk and tipsy ,but z talkin bout he talented will see, but yea not feelin it, good vocals tho cant say nuthin bout dat

Songs like this all sound the same to me. This may get heavy play on the radio or at least in the "club," but I can't see myself listening to this again.

Songs like this cant get more than 3 stars......its the same ol ish...
this is cool, but its not anything exciting or new...i swear young R&B singers these days just dont try to be great anymore :( |

i agree this isnt orig and a lot of ppl can do this, but i still like it. the more i listen, the more it gets stuck in my head.
besides, this will be the jam to listen to wen im on my way to get drunk in the club, as well as the song i will jam after gettin drunk in the club. i really think if u give it a couple more listens (jus 2-3) it will rapidly grow on u guys. |

The beat is good. It sounds pretty chill, and I would've let the unoriginal lyrics/content slip by, but them vocals ain't doing it. Definitely messed this track all up, for me... 1.5

Bei Maejor gettin his auto tune on! Ok Ok, not bad. Suprised cause I'm use to hearing just his beats then he came out with Plies on that other record. Glad he is doing his thing though, Props!

I was not a fan of this song it was to R&B for me. Dont get me wrong i do like a select few R&B songs but this just sounded to generic to me.

Basically this dude did not believe in himself. he tried to make a quick hit. the production overshadows his autotuned vocals. vocals which kinda irritate my ears. Dude must be better than this or he has no future. enjoyable at times but lacking in a lot of respects 2.5
