Representing the Orlando/Kissimmee region of Florida (a state that has flooded DJBooth!), rapper Bedo is hoping he can break free from a pack of Sunshine State rappers all looking to go major. When listeners look at the title to his debut single, Money 2 Da Ceiling, most will not automatically be impressed (and when they hear DJ Khaled‘s typical “We the best! Listennnn!” intro, they might even get a bit annoyed). Once Bedo digs deep into his verses, however, listeners will recognize that he has a style and swagger all his own, using unheard-of similes such as ”I get higher than lab animals.” Bedo’s independent album Hurtin’ Before Havin‘ is out on the streets now.
This track is pretty generic. The beat is used to death and the sound of the chorus was exactly what Lupe was talking about when he said the dude had a wack ass hook like "stack that cheese". Real corny right here.
DJ Khaled - mad respect - no one makes epic sounding hits like him (Cash Flow, I'm So Hood, We Takin Over) but this doesnt live up to DJ Khaled's potential at all, he is capable of much better. This rapper Bedo, his voice like the beat is nothing special to me, good lyrics or not, sounds very bland. OK
Has anyone ever done an "I'm swimming in money" track? They could fill up the swimming pool Huey used for the "Pop, Lock and Drop It" video! I need to make some calls.
how bout "i'm swimmin in money" or "i wipe my a$$ wit ca$h" or "i got bank accounts in large amounts" or ...
Blaze is right, beat is too generic. but if Lupe hadn't made that song, i doubt he'd say the hook is corny haha
no talent this is just a product of this movement they got where every one eats. well tell you what dj khaled you made some hits no doubt but if we gettting every one a chance ill try to rap just give me a beat lol
