Bali - Hold Me Down

If The Runners’ recent work can be filed under one category, it would be ‘motivational music’ (see Ace Hood‘s Overtime and Champion, Fabolous’ It’s My Time).  The production duo’s protégé, Bali‘s latest feature (the official version of a track leaked previously) is no exception.  Ready to join his peers at the top, Bali stakes his claim on the game and brushes off all the haters who would try and “Hold Me Down”.  Featuring hook vocals by Kevin Cossom (currently celebrating his first #1 chart spot with Keri Hilson‘s Knock U Down) and ad-libs by DJ Khaled (do we really need to introduce him?), this track rides a slower tempo than many of The Runners’ recent jams, but has the same motivational vibe—and, considering the warm reception the duo’s work has met in the Booth of late, that should be enough to ensure it receives favorable reviews from our regulars.  Keep it locked to the Booth for the eventual release of Bali’s debut single.
