If The Runners’ recent work can be filed under one category, it would be ‘motivational music’ (see Ace Hood‘s Overtime and Champion, FabolousIt’s My Time).  The production duo’s protégé, Bali‘s latest feature (the official version of a track leaked previously) is no exception.  Ready to join his peers at the top, Bali stakes his claim on the game and brushes off all the haters who would try and “Hold Me Down”.  Featuring hook vocals by Kevin Cossom (currently celebrating his first #1 chart spot with Keri Hilson‘s Knock U Down) and ad-libs by DJ Khaled (do we really need to introduce him?), this track rides a slower tempo than many of The Runners’ recent jams, but has the same motivational vibe—and, considering the warm reception the duo’s work has met in the Booth of late, that should be enough to ensure it receives favorable reviews from our regulars.  Keep it locked to the Booth for the eventual release of Bali’s debut single.

I cannot believe when this record originally leaked, people actually mistook Kevin Cossom's hook vocals for T-Pain. Anyway, I digress. The Runners kill the production (as always), and Kevin comes correct on the chorus (duh), but I'd like to hear more out of Bali. Everything is in place for him to succeed, but I need more energy out of him. Maybe its because I expect Ace Hood to spaz out over this boardwork, but more enthusiasm will go a long way to his potential successes.

Bali is wack and I don't think he can improve...The chorus is hot and the beat is nice, but the main act is a no-show!

It's to slow to be a motivational song!!
Production is good but Bali needs a little more energy almost sounds like he's bored!!
Kevin Cossom does the best of all three!!
And ya what did Khaled do to be featured??
IDK maybe his name is there to bring attention to the song!!

I Gotta give KC deserve credit for this song. He's the one saves the song and The Runners always gives banger beats. It's a really shame that Bali couldn't do better.

KC is defiantly the saviour of this track. Im not a fan of Bali's flow or the production from The Runners, who are usually brilliant behind the boards.

Why low ratings guys? This was a hot song when it first came out a while back and I still think its pretty good. Kevin Cossom is dope on the hook and although Bali lacked energy he sounded decent on the slow beat. Nice track

First think that stands out on this track is Kevin Cossom needs to drop his own track. The rest of this is boring.

Why is this song so low-rated? I'm feeling it, like TYME_1 wrote it's extremely catchy. I like the mid-slow production and the overall melody! Good song!
