Try as hard as you can in the next week to turn on MTV Jams or satellite radio, and not hear the Bake Up Boyz buzz single, Now I Can Do That, featuring Jim Jones. Operating independently, without even the help of a Koch or Universal Republic, this Flint, Michigan, quartet continues to cook up their main course, Fresh Out The Kitchen. Before it is served, however, they have decided to team up with former Shady DJ Green Lantern for the mixtape appetizer, The Cook Up: Still In The Kitchen. Like Now I Can Do That, the mixtape single Ain’t No Sense In Y’All Hatin’ once again features the Boyz collaborating with a notable guest feature (Rick Ross). So, does the song make for a tasty treat or should the Bake Up Boyz go back to cooking school? You be the taste-tester.
I heard their first song on satellite radio about 3 weeks ago with Jim Jones and I was wondering who they were. That track was Sick! I like the beat on this one right here and Rick Ross does a good job of soupin' it up in the beginning. These dudes really rock the beat right with the flow! The hook is hot too! RICK ROSS just seals the deal for me on this one. He KILLS the track!
I think the word "hate" or any of its derivatives (i.e. hating, haters) has been used in song titles more than any other words for the two years. Maybe love is the #1 but hate comes close. Rick Ross handles this track like a butcher. This is solid beat.
Rick Ross has been doing A LOT of guest features. I guess that is how you spend your time when you have to wait four months for your album to drop after you finish recording it. But anyways.... this is solid. Their new mixtape should be very enjoyable.
