Bad Dreams EP

Hell hath no fury like a songwriter scorned. While the consequences of deceitful behavior in relationships are rarely positive, those who do a pop artist dirty can expect to find their grimy deeds immortalized in song. A newly-formed duo made up of Ketchy Shuby frontman Jason Hernandez and beatsmith Michael Cupino, Bad Dreams follow in a long and illustrious musical tradition of calling out unfaithful lovers on lead EP single The Hand Of. Making its world premiere here in the Booth, the record finds Hernandez pulling no punches as he tells his ex exactly how he feels about her behavior: “Girl you’re evil.” Caputo ensures that his colleague’s romantic complaints will be blaring from club speakers across the nation, backing the record with an intricate, dancefloor-ready blend of synths, ghostly vocal accents and pounding, four-on-the-floor percussion. Feeling this bitter, yet ear-pleasing jam? More fresh tunes await on Bad Dreams’ self-titled EP, which has yet to receive a solid drop date.
