Following in the footsteps of his Oomp Camp Records label mate DJ Unk, Atlanta rapper Baby D has stepped up to the plate. Signed to Koch Records the teenage MC is preparing the release of his 2008 debut album, A-Town Secret Weapon. The lead single off the album is the in-house produced, I’m Bout Money. While the topic of discussion on I’m Bout Money is clearly nothing innovative (in fact the opening lines seem ‘borrowed’ from Jay-Z), the flow will remind fans of Unk’s earlier work. Will ‘Bout Money produce dollars? We wouldn’t bet the bank on it.
Oomp Camp should get all the credit for this club banger but the lyrics are lackin big time. If they would have just played the hook the whole time i would have liked it a lot more because the "rap" is poor
This track won't make him any Money! The beat is decent, but nothing special at all. The rap is pretty wack, and he does sound like a chingy-wanna-be...I don't know who would wanna be chingy, but we have someone here I see!
Beat's tight, but the subject matter couldn't be more repetitive. Who the hell isn't about money? I will seriously pay these rappers to rhyme about anything else. What about "I'm about waffles," or "I'm about calling in sick to work."
I recant my previous statements and score!!! I rated this low; and then I went home and bumped the video on my surround sound; and THIS IS TIGHT!!!!! SICK Right Here a BANGER!
i think that this song is the best but only i can't stand it when my boyfriend plays it every time we r on the phone wit each other and when he starts singing it to me or some one i gues he sings it to his dog ??
