Baby Boy Da Prince is back, but he’s changed considerably since we last heard from him. Probably due to the lukewarm sales of his debut, Across the Water, the New Orleans native will release his sophomore album on indie Extreme Entertainment, leaving his one-and-done label deal with Universal Republic. Da Prince has also adopted a new alias, Damela - yeah, we know what you’re thinking: “Isn’t that some sort of girl’s name?” According to Baby Boy it is merely an abbreviated way of saying, “Damn, I look” (e.g., Damela good, Damela fine). On his new single of the same name, Philadelphia native Cassidy (yes, that Cassidy) drops by for a hot guest verse, which will undoubtedly make a few East Coast purists a tad mad. But, hey, it’s all about being catchy and entertaining, right?

I was a fan of Baby Boy Da Prince's last single. "The Way I Live" was a smash in my eyes, despite some of the ignorant responses from some of my hip hop purist comrades. This joint is sort of a step down from that in my eyes, but I feel it will catch on heavily, especially if there is a dance to accompany it. I felt Cassidy's verse was not his usual stuff AT ALL. He could have came way better on this one. The production is decent though, and I'll throw it in rotation, because I wouldn't mind hearing it a few times again, because it is catchy.

I like the approach he took on this one. Anytime you have a catchy phrase in your hook it's bound to get some recognition. Production is pretty poppish, but it's a good comeback single. Gettin Cassidy for a cool verse was a plus too.

Nice production on this track. The chorus is kinda catchy. It gets stuck in your head. Not as good as his old stuff though. I don't like the featured artist verse on this song. I think they could have done the verses a little better. Other than that it's a good song. If they fix it up a little bit before they air it on radios then it could be a hit, but right now it's just an okay song. I'll listen to it a few more times.

Damn I look Good.

Catchy song for that I'll give it 3 stars.
