Having parted ways with J Records, Baby Bash may be flying solo on the label tip, but when it comes to female companionship, the Southern emcee/r&b crooner never has to worry about being alone. How is that possible? Well, on his latest promo single (the artist’s first release under his own BashTown Music Group label), B.B. explains that, whenever he needs a little company, he can simply close his eyes and think of his Fantasy Girl – a fictional female who, like Mary Poppins, is “practically perfect in every way.” Producer C Ballin’ offers up a funky, midtempo instrumental as the artist pays sung and rapped tribute to a girl who’s simply too flawless to be real. Similarly multi-talented underground mainstay Marty James handles the hook, helpfully explaining that, “You can’t spell ‘fantasy’ without ‘n-a-s-t-y.’” (I’m battling the urge to point out one or two other words you can’t spell “fantasy” without… Nah, too easy.) This track undoubtedly has what it takes to get bodies moving, but will it be enough to attract the major-label deal of Bash’s dreams? Keep it locked for all the latest developments in the newly-independent pop vet’s career.

It is utterly refreshing to hear a Baby Bash record without a traditional radio hook in place and some Lil Jon ad libs. Being liberated from a major label deal might have been Bash's ticket to a career extension.
Marty James always impresses with the vocals and the overall 80's vibe of this record is too dope. I'm a fan.

Is this funk day or sumtin?! Am i missing something?!?! anyway this is ok especially after listen to that bad rabbits song...the feel of it is dull...the beat is creative on some label, but im not feeling it....the hook isn't bad but i don't like it...this is just ok for me this sound liike marty james songs more than it is baby bash's...overall this is just a throw away track...

loving the uptempo beat here, marty was a great choice for the hook. baby was tight but he didnt fully suit this i reckon. still a nice bumping track though

Oh that's right, I totally forgot about Baby Bash. Damn, this is a completely different style for the man. The beat and hook are crazy 80s; the hook reminds me of David Byrne from Talking Heads. It'd be great if Bash matches the beat by getting a little more experimental lyrically, but he still does a solid job. Props for putting out something different.

Fantasy Girl is a bonified banger! This is gonna be a big song for Baby Bash. It's already blowin up the radio. It was #1 on Power106 in LA for the entire week when I was out there and they been playin it like crazy out here in the Bay. Lovin the track, it's definitely funky and MartyJames on a hook never dissappoints(PaulWall, Chamillionaire,Federation,E-40, etc), Soon as it comes on the radio, it sounds refreshing and alot different than what's out there. Good Luck to Bash and his new label. This is a SOLID SINGLE.

Baby Bashes career peaked awhile ago...I'm sure he will need to get back on the T-Pain/lil jon bus if he wants another hit, but I dont think that will happen again.

wonderful. wow where has baby bash gone? i loved that song "Suga Suga" :) this song is great because everything comes together to form the perfect sound. the hook is kinda strange but it grew on me quick, and the production is absolutely perfect, and lyrics are great. definitely a banger for me
