One of the more popular trends in urban music is embattled split personalities (see: Beyonce/Sasha Fierce, T.I./T.I.P., and Cassidy‘s The Problem/The Hustla). The only artist to use his multiple personalities interchangeably, however, is Bobby Ray Simmons, who gives equal time to laid-back soul/funk persona Bobby Ray and lyrical beast B.o.B.. These two alter egos go head to head on the Green Lantern/Don Cannon-hosted B.o.B. vs. Bobby Ray mixtape, which features Booth-approved cuts Mr. Bobby and Put Me On off the Bobby Ray side and Change Gon Come and I’m That N*gga from the B.o.B. side. The third Booth feature from the latter side expands upon the feelings Kanye West expressed in Pinocchio Story. Over his own sampled beat, the ATLien points out the many downsides of life as a celebrity and poses the question, Do You Have The Stamina? Though most of us would answer that question in the negative, the on-point lyricism that both collaborators bring to this cut should get a resounding “Yes!” from our regulars.

Taking that Kanye moment to create a whole song was a great idea and B.o.B. pulled the production off like a genius! The music is just amazing: the strings go hard and harmonize beautifully, no wonder why the percussion is reminiscent of "Amazing".
Particularly liked the first verse, the flow was nice, but the lyrics were too straight to the point, I prefer more creativity. |

Bobby Ray is so damn talented. This song 5 seconds in is classic to me already. Damn that beat change for his rapping fit perfectly. Eminem needs to do a verse on this. Then release it as a single.I have to Go download that mixtape now. Kanye needs to bless this with a verse as well, I guarantee he loves this song by the way. Damn near flawless.

Oh snap! I would have never thought anyone could sample what I call the most heartfelt song from Kanye EVER!
Leave it to B.O.B to do it. Sidebar: I shed a tear during "Pinocchio Story" BTW. True Story Bobby Ray's lyrics were so deep and real on here. It's nuts man. That's how it really is. Like for example, will people look at Chris Brown for a man that made a mistake and is very sorry and wants to move on or will they forever remember him as the beater of Rihanna? Good ish. I'm actually a fan of B.O.B, but I will not lie, when I saw that the mixtape was out a few days ago, I ended up ignoring it and not downloading. IDK why. But leave it to the good folks at DJBOOTH.NET to get me back on track *Downloads the mixtape now. |

I loved B.O.B/Bobby Ray's mixtape, and this was one of my personal favorites off it. I am excited for his Debut CD, because if it's anything as good as this mixtape, I'd buy more then 1 copy. I don't think I've heard one disappointing song from B.o.B/Bobby Ray since his release. Definitely a banger!

B.o.B is obviously pretty well-schooled in both the arts of producing & MCing.
Im amazed by how much great material these guys are putting out for free. @MH - Tell that to Nathan.S :p Obviously what Chris did was wrong & she didn't deserve it, that's not a question. Anyhow, I don't think he's a total monster, he's just as @*#$! up as the rest of us, but in his own way. |

Well put top hat. We all make dumb moves at some point in time, what sucks is having the public eye hold a magnifying glass over you with the son beaming down through it. Chris did what alot of men do, he is no more or less guilty than anyone who has done that. Lets get him some help, let him do his community service and get back to the music he makes. Nice production on this, I love it. The sample of Kanye was dope. While the production is stellar, I think the lyrics are ok. They are over-shadowed by the beat (the beat is intoxicating). Im giving this banger status for the production alone.

Never listened to B.O.B's music before, but i'm pleasantly suprised, really wasn't a fan of 808's, mostly because I love the rapping Kanye, but taking the sample for the hook is genius.
Production is real nice with the piano and really like the kick drum. |
