AZ - Life On The Line
Artist: AZ
Producer: Street Radio
Album: Undeniable
Label: Quiet $$/Fastlife/E1
Anyone who has spent a day living in the ghetto understands that putting your Life on the Line is nothing new. One of New York’s most underrated MC’s, AZ, happens to understand that harsh reality better than anyone else and as he describes on his newest single, a sense of loyalty to your block will never remove the threat of a stray bullet or gun fight. AZ’s impassioned lyrics mixed with a Jimi Kendrix’ hook and Street Radio production put Life on the Line in a world of its own. Listen for more tails of reality when AZ’s Undeniable hits the streets during the first quarter of 2008.

Well, being a white 15 year old in middle class, I can't relate to this song, but this seems to capture the danger of the ghetto

I love AZ but thumbs down on this one. The hook sounds horrible.

The most underrated MC in NY? Naw...he's one of the most underrated MCs in the history of hip-hop! This track is decent, it's now or never for AZ to finally take his career to the next level.

I look forward to AZ's new album in '08, but I agree with the above sentiment... this is just OK.

I don't know about this. AZ used to be the TRUTH, but I think he missed his window of opportunity to make it big. Now-a-days, in a single, I am looking for production, rhymes and overall feel of the track. This is so average that it is weak. This doesn't make me want to hear more from AZ. Oh well...

I agree with DJ mcm!!! What do y'all really know 'bout Jimi Hendrix?!! lol AZ is one of the most under-rated rappers....I'm still feelin' his flow... plus, the Hendrix sample - it's pretty dope to me!

I feel this track. The beat is smooth and AZ's flow is tight. No trunk banger or anything but a decent track to kick back and blow a blunt to.

The whole Undeniable CD is a classic. I would rather listen to AZ all day long than that BS commercial nonsense they are playing on the radio. I will put him against a Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, and whoever else. Listen to the messages, the analogies, metaphors that he puts into his music. He is one of the true lyrists.
