According to singer Avant, there is only one true way to know the degree to which a man and women can love each other. When you’re together and happy, things will always seem wonderful, but When It Hurts… that’s when you’ll really know. Assisting on the Cleveland native’s newest love lesson is the production duo of Antonio Dixon and Eric Dawkins, whose credits include work with Tyrese, Marques Houston and Chris Brown. Currently in Iraq performing a series of shows for the troops, Avant will return to the States next week and begin work on a video for When It Hurts. The single is the first off his forthcoming self-titled Capitol Records debut, due October 28.
AVANT SPEAKING REAL TALK ....LOVE AINT ALWAYS PEACHES AND CREAM.....U KNOW ITS TRUE LUV WHEN U GOIN THRU AND DA LOVE IS STILLL THERE.......AVANT IS BACK!!!
Damn, this is smooooth right here. Avant has always been on my radar, I like his work. The best part is the hot chorus and the really nice lyrics. Great production from Dixon and Dawkins who also produce great work. I've never bought an Avant album, this may lead me to check out some of his past work that I never got the chance to listen to. I wouldn't call this a banger in MY personal collection just because my iPod isn't filled with a lot of this kind of R&B, but I'm gonna rate it a 4 just because I appreciate it for what it's worth.
Avant got some heat out right now. This is a clean track that should get woman going. I can't say this is one that I'll be playin much, but I can see this working.

WHAT??! Avant is back? Geez, '08 must be RnB throwback year. This is a hot track right here, it still has the swagger he used to bring to his tracks. It does sound relatively 'modern', but it definitely has that early 2000 feel. I feel there's been a bit of a solid RnB dry spell, and I'm glad this track is out here.
I like it. It has that nice smooth feel to it, something you can just throw on and listen to when you're in that mellow mood feeling sentimental. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
Love me some Avant for those "turn of the lights, light the candles" nights...This sounds a lil bit too much like the old Avant Cd, not that i'm complaining but i hope this new album brings in some new R&B sound
Sooooo agreeing with Obecalp..."'08 must be RnB's throwback year" Been waiting for some new material from him. This is some truth right here, I have been here before, some old school Avant come back on this. Big Ups to him for doing that for our troops, lovin this track, can't wait to hear more, 4 stars~(**)~
tykillaSE I don't like this type of songs, too...unfortunately this isn't an exception to me! It's well-producted ok, but just not my type...He has a sexy voice, and this is a good thing
I've never really been a fan of Avant's music, but this might make me start listening. This joint is so smooth. The production is really throwback R&B style. I'm definitely feeling it.
havent rated/commented in a minute, but i really like this song. avant pretty much always does his thing. this song has me lookin forward to hearin more frm upcoming cd.
