Since Avant‘s fifth studio album is the start of a brand-new era on Capitol Records (his previous albums were released via MCA and Geffen), the singer has decided to self-title the project. Following his passionate first single, When It Hurts (which climbed to #18 on the Billboard R&B chart), the Cleveland native has reached back into his former bag of tricks, creating a bedroom jam that will Break Ya Back (In A Good Way). Should Avant’s smooth vocals fail to set the mood, producer Dontae “Metaphysician” Winslow‘s percussion-spread sound will certainly take care of things so you can get it on tonight! Avant is currently set to be released on December 9, just in time for the holiday rush.

Ooo, this is a lil dirty right here LOL! This is what Avant needed, his last CD was a flop and I haven't heard much from him in the past couple years. Here's an idea - get Luda on this remix! We all know Luda kills it on these slow-fast R&B songs. Right now the song is a 3, but stay tuned...

Okay....WTFlipmode is the squad....when does Avant sing to tracks like this? I don't know...I guess as continued listening, it's a decent track, but it just threw my off. I don't really like the production though. The song overall isn't that great in my opinion. Sorry y'all. This is only OK.

This was the first time I ever remember hearing a track produced by the Metaphysician. Like MH said, not overly enthused by the bassline.
As for Avant... the man can sing. Flat out. Period. No argument. Oh, and no matter how you do it, breaking ones back is painful. I guess if it has to happen, though, there are plenty of ladies who'd like it like this.

What kinda name is this? Avant has some tracks on his new album. He brings solid sound to his beats. I actually like this one too. This does have some strange breaks in the beat. For the most part this works well.

It's not a bad song but it gets boring really fastly to me. I don't like how Avant sings here! Production is kinda catchy but not that all...could be radio played but it won't go to my mp3 player. Forgetable track

i like dis...tho its not one of avant's top notch sex songs...i still like it tho. TheGreatest: i didnt think director was dat great of an album...even tho i still bang "u kno wat" and "imagination" i prefer da older ones like private room.
