Following the super-raw buzz singles, When I Roll Up and B*tches Ain’t Sh*t (both of which were unpopular amongst DJBooth members), rapper Attitude has released a new song that sounds like a perfect choice for an official radio single. Toning down his usually explicit rhymes, the Birmingham native is in the mood to show off and hopes to make one thing clear, “…you looking at the Man Right Here.” All this boastful talk is not without backing, however, as producer-on-the-rise Danja provides an uber-syncopated beat that might just make you stop and boogie (he certainly learned that from his mentor, Timbo). All signs point to a ‘third time being the charm’ for Attitude; with the proper promotion, Man Right Here has the makings of almost-assured club banger.
Damn! Call me a hater, but I'm sick of what you niggas rappin bout. Words or phrases I don't ever wanna hear again. Swagger, Patron, Ice, wrist, haters, yo girl, Money (in any term used), bar, ya boy, and so many more. Stop please. Read a book. Take a class. Creative writing in particular. Ya'll killin me. Sorry to put the imphsis on this cats song but he was the straw that broke the camels back. No more damn it. F yo slang damn it. The beat is fiyaa though. lmao
the beat is nice. the dude has a nice delivery but lyrically sucks. the hook is decent. but the beat is overall the best thing . in rotation. people will dance to this.
I'm with BDF44! Anyway the production on this song is banging, I really like it! I would rate this 4 for the production and 2 for Attitude, whom I don't like...average 3! Like goonies01 I'll put this on my cd mix
BDF44 I completely understand what you're stressing in your comment and rappers should definitely read more but the word is "emphasis" and Attitude may not read that much to depend on what he says before he goes in the booth. Despite the critique Danja's beat-making skills are on-point and this is a tad different from his past two joints. He's still bragging, but hey, who isn't?
BDF44, are you reading my thoughts? Seriously. With that said, creativity is at a premium these days. You need to take the music for what it is... Attitude has a great voice and has the potential to do a lot. This single falls in line with what many of you have alluded to, the norm.
BDF44 & DJ Z! I fully agree with you both. But, if not these topics what else do they seem to bring out? With out the exceptions of NAS, Chamillionaire or Joe Budden(sorry if I left any out.) Who all seem to be raising the level and bringin' some real LYRICAL genius out, not just a hot beat. None of the other hip-hop artists at the moment seem to bring much more then any of these already rapped about issues....As for the song. I don't mind it. Production is tight and Attitude impressed a lot more here then he has on previous tracks.
Ooo....the misogynistic idiot again eh? The beat on this is pretty crispy (it's Danja, what'd you expect), but Attitude is straight BFI....no lie. Hook is pretty catchy, but his sincerity and content is 50 Cent's old rap name.
Erica L. Thanks for pointing that out. I guess it wouldn't hurt me to read alil and take a class myself. lol Seriously though, I think the content of these songs need to change, but even more so the "EMPHIASIS" on creative lyrics is lacking. I'm gladI'm not the only one who sees this.
