When most of us think of the sound of money, the clink of coins or the rustle of paper bills spring to mind. ATL’s own Archie Eversole says differently, though; his struggle in the Southern streets helped him hear What Money Sounds Like. The synth-laden, anthem-like beat from producer Needlz provides a forum for Archie’s rough rhymes, as shrilling strings and a hypnotic chorus further allow the emcee to lavish great detail on the story of his difficult upbringing. Now that Archie’s gotten a foot in the door with his latest buzz single, don’t expect him to wither away anytime soon. Though his own project doesn’t yet have a title or release date, this hustler is knee-deep in his quest for superstardom.
As a buzz single, this has potential. Archie is still trying to find is place on the mic and its evident in this project. With that said, the production from Needlz (who has supplied all your favorite rappers with beats over the last 8+ years) is quality.
Another song about money...I think they should marry with it! I wanted to skip this but I'm a curious girl lol! I don't like him, his flow is the typical one that bores me a bit...but the production is really good, good music and good beat! Even though it's not my song, I consider it in rotation
dam cant see how yall are blind to this nigga!
ive been listenin to all his undaground tracks ever since i heard his 1st single "we ready" the man spits some pretty sick tracks. imma give him the respect due
I actually like this but it's only because I was feelin dude back in 2002 when he first came out. I was just wonderin about this dude. And real talk I like this "South" better than what's happened to it since he's been gone. Needlz killed the track.
I'm feeling this effort from Archie this track is a banger. I like Archie's flow on this track. Needlz on the beat south meets north put this in rotation!
