Archie Eversole - Lil Lower
Artist: Archie Eversole
Producer: Get Cool
Album: None (Digital Single Only)
Label: HGMG/Zingari Management
Usually, when you hear the phrase “new music from ATL,” you expect something bass-heavy and hype. With the help of producer Get Cool, however, Archie Eversole decides to take a different route on his new single Lil Lower. Here, the freestyle series alum describes the classic situation of being in the club and catching the eye of that PYT (as MJ would say) across the dance floor, and proceeds to lay out his plan to bag the broad. With the classic instructional hook for what the ladies need to do when the song is playing, this is a straight-up club joint that should get more than a couple of rotations. With a nice beat that ladies can dance with and fellas can awkwardly stand around and bob their heads to, Archie once again gives clubgoers exactly what they’re looking for. Keep it locked to the Booth for all the latest from this Southern mainstay.

The techno beat and upbeat production make this something you can enjoy nodding your head to at home as well as dancin to in the club.
One of favorites in the booth today, everything is tight. Makes me want to put my hands up! |

I didn't know what to expect from this. I'm a big fan of the music ATL puts out but I'm usually skeptical about the new talent that comes out of the area. (After the D4L's, Dem Franchize Boyz, and Shawty Lo's of this world, it's hard not to be.)
Anyways, I enjoyed the production on this and Archie's flow was real nice but the substance on this is paper-thin. I'm interested in seeing if Archie can display a bit more diversity on his next track but, for now, I'd say he's a slight step above the typical ATL newcomer. |

Seems like it has been a few days since there has been a club song on the booth. Or at least none have really hit me as anything great. This song is definitely dance floor ready. Not a hard knocking song, but its more subtle which sometimes plays best to the crowd.
Archie puts together a real catchy hook and solid verses to back it up. The boardwork supports his lyrics and makes it a real banger. It has a real wave effect, something that people can really dance to. I have been waiting for a song to come along this week that I can finally add to my club mixes and this is definitely going on one of them. Has the ability to make the radio and blow up to and I hope it does. Just when I thought there was a club drought, Archie Eversole comes through, NICE! |

The production for starters really paves the way for the dance floor. I'm obligated to say that this track shines on the production. Get Cool should really consider doing more work with many other artists. After listening to this, I can't help but feel a need for more. This was Fire.
Archie can flow and when the female counter-part of this track came on I knew this was some quality material. I can definitely see myself vibing out to this in the club. |

What the hell is that? Harp? I don't care, the beat is money.
I do have a bit of a soft spot for electronica, and when the beat sets the vibe of the song, I am in. The aura envisioned by the beat is like a shining star on a northern sky. It doesn't hurt that Eversole is representing A-town (hell yeah!), and he brings that dirty south club flow to the almost ethereal sound. And goddamn, just when you thought this shit couldn't get more ill, the female vocal accentuates the overall tone of the song even more. A sublime blend of masculine and feminine sound. Ying and yang at its best. Banger for sure. |

Atlanta + Lil Lower song title = Ludacris? Whew that was a close one. Once the track came on it was obvious that Lil Lower is a whole different type of club track than How Low. Eversole puts out a knocker for an after hours party and most certain a request for the club. Always a fan of a female appearance on the track just adds a sensuality to the track. One thing I would change is this picture; Shades have no place in the club. Ok that was more for the weekend fools I see but kudos to Get Cool and Eversole for making good music.

Get Cool made a cool beat for sure...Its real smooth yet uptempo at the same time. Hook was a little generic but other then that this could end up being a breakout hit for him. I hope so cause I wouldn't mind hearing this in the clubs. And what was up with the random woman singer that came out of nowhere?! Oh well Archie impresses me again...enough said!

Very sick track rite here! Beat got me boppin' as soon as it kicked it in! The man's got a potential hit right here!
@Phantastic Gotta say, as much as Shawty Lo's lyrical content may be lacking "Units In The City" I think was one of the more solid albums to come outta the ATL in a while. But you are entitled to your opinion my good friend and I respect it. |

This song probably won't get much action on my iPod, but I can't deny that it'll be all too easy to slip this one into a party mix or two.

This one was made strictly for the club. Since that is the case its pretty hard for anyone without club speakers attached to their computer to truly, accurately rate this record for its real worth. I don't have club speakers, but mine are pretty nice... so with that said - 3.

It's really interesting how they kept the percussion to such a minimum in a song that's supposed to be for the club, and yet it has an uplifting vibe.
Chorus is catchy and I like the proper tone he used for it. I still listen to "Keep Winning" once in a while, and I guess Archie just made another song you can go back to and enjoy like it's fresh. |

"Lil Lower" certainly doesn't break artistic boundaries by any means, but I think it works for what it is. A catchy up tempo club anthem record. Enjoyable listen.
