Windy City duo Animuse, made up of emcee’s Elishua and Freddie, may consider themselves “that unpopular kid that you like to chill with,” but we’d like to invite them over to the cool table upon their DJBooth debut for mixtape stand out selection, I’m Home. I’m Home is the ultimate summer love record, but unlike your typical lovey dovey summer cut the Animuse guys prefer to keep it real on their record. Swapping clever verses the duo focus on that ideal summer boo, who eventually turns into your arch enemy as the season nears its end. Despite the minor dose of heartbreak the guys are quick to move on thanks to heavily upbeat production courtesy of Freddie (whose production identity is Savier). I like the cool care-free-laid-back delivery by Animuse. Not sure if I heard him before, but he's got mic-skills. I like the beat by Savier too. I'll throw this into rotation... Downloading now...
