Anesha Birchett has Motown flowing through her veins. The beautiful Detroit, Michigan born-and-raised vocalist dazzled industry tastemakers with her precise tone and pitch, which led to her single, Beyond Your Past, being featured on 2008’s BMI Sampler. The 19-year-old musical prodigy has that smoky, yet resonant sound that will appeal to music lovers everywhere, and the track lays a strong, gospeldelic foundation that will draw listeners in from the first note. With an album in the works, the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins songwriting signee will have powerful production muscle behind what she hopes will be a platinum-plus debut. On Beyond Your Past, however, The Stuntmen have put together a soothing, yet ear-catching concoction that complements Anesha’s vocal strength. Birchett is currently unsigned, but that won’t be the case for much longer.

I'm really digging Anesha's vibe. His sort of retro and it's sincere. The production is nicely done. I'll definitely throw this in rotation and look for more from her. This is a good introduction of her as an artist though...at least to my ears.

this a real soul type song. not my style but stil decent. I could see this being a hit for the soul r&b faithfuls. She can really sing in that high pitch real well. A more hip hop remix of this could be a classic though.

Loved the soul vibe of the song from the moment I pressed play. If a magazine does a 'Top 10 Freshman' thing for R&B artists... true R&B artists that is... look for Anesha.
Great record. |

My God this track is so boring! I don't really like it! Her voice is very good but I don't like the way she's singing here and the melody is extremely annoying...guess she'll come out with something better. I don't deny the soulful feel but there's better to me

This is really soulful. Her voice is really nice. I can see why some may not feel this. Too soulful for those who are used to this tecno disco dance crap out these days. Either way this works for me.
