Amerie’s parent label, Columbia, decided to release her new album, Because I Love It, in Europe this past May; the singer assumed her domestic release would soon follow. Unfortunately for Amerie, things didn’t go according to plan. Columbia held off on a U.S. release and flirted with drop dates like Paris Hilton does rich and famous men. But alas, a single has arrived that will be pushed to radio: That’s What U R. Featuring rappers Fabolous and Slim Thug, the single will certainly have its place in the club. Too bad for Amerie, she’d rather see it on store shelves.
I had this track for a good lil minute now but its pretty str8 ... tha main thing i dont like is tha break down when she sound like she talkin in a higher pitch ... CORNY!! besides that i think its a banger for when u cleanin tha crib on tha weekend

I heard this track awhile back and it's straight fire. I'm feeling the production and Fabo's intro verse is just is place with his signature flow. Amerie lays it down on the bass-lines leading up to the hook and Slim Thug's voice is a nice refreshing sound just when you're getting tired of Amerie's low-toned voice.
I definitely like the beat of this song!! Yeah she is definitely not getting the respect she deserves....I don't know what happened...when she first came out she was HOT!! everybody was feeling her songs and then all of a sudden she just became a one hit....
dis song is a banger yeah & i agree w/ my nig she is an ill ass artist, when i listen 2 my gurl amerie she sooths me cuz she jus real mellow and smooth w/ her vocals and i love dat when it comes r&b ya digafeel me............
