We’ve only head from Atlantic/Duct Tape repper Alley Boy a handful of times in the last year or so, but that sparsity in DJBooth features apparently hasn’t affected his bank account in the slightest. As he reminders listeners on his new single, he’s still walking around with a Pocket Full of Money. (When I dig deep into my pocket all I come up with his lint, but that’s another story for another time.) Producer Streetrunner does the honors here crafting a lushly soul-sampled beat that morphs into a hi-hat rider on the verses – think halfway between old school Kanye and Lex Luger. On the mic Alley Boy rhymes about, what else, the roots of his money making mentality, something that guest feature Young Jeezy, fresh off his Lil Wayne collab, knows a little something about too. While this new school banger doesn’t yet have a home on a larger album, positive reviews from the Booth will undoubtedly mean an album coming sooner than later. So how about it Booth Nation, are you ready to ride out on a money makin’ mission with Alley Boy?

How is it that Jeezy sounds better on another emcee's song when compared to his previous release. The production is tight...I am digging it.

@Leon D - Because of the production selection. The track title would suggest another dull, ignorant, street banger, but the song is actually pretty good. Alley Boy isn't going to win a Grammy anytime soon, but the song is one of the better efforts I have heard (from both artists) in a while.

This was better than I was expecting. I saw the name of the song and that Jeezy was the feature, so my expectations were low, but I was pleasantly surprised. The beat is definitely the highlight of this track. I feel like this song could have been something special if had been graced by better emcee, but it's listenable.

I agree Jeezy was the highlight of this track, Alley Boy was ok but when putting a high profile rapper on your track it's best to bring your A game.
