Following seven straight weeks atop Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart, Alicia Keys‘ Like You’ll Never See Me Again snatched up two NAACP Image Awards, was selected as the background music for various scenes on the soap opera All My Children, and was turned into a remix. While remixes tend to come a dime a dozen nowadays, its guest feature has been known to capture the emotion of every opportunity he’s been given. Combining a pain-filled zest for love with his all around swagger, Ludacris even adds a touch of humor to his guest spot. When dealing with a powerful single, the remix must be just as strong; fortunately, Like You’ll Never See Me Again succeeds.
Arguably one of the best songs of "As I Am," Alicia Keys is our generation's living legend. Ten to twenty years from now were are going to see her accepting her lifetime achievement awards and recognition. Ludacris is an overlooked rapper because of his presence in ATL's party records, but he really has the ability to combine multiple syllables in short, condensed verses. This remix is hot!
This remix is pretty crispy. Ludacris snapped in the sense of snapping on a rap verse. Personally, I wish Alicia woulda got a more serious M.C, not so much that Luda is not serious, but someone that would kind of stay on the topic where the song could be called a "Classic" rather than just a banger. I think Common, Lupe or an old school cat woulda added a nice verse to this one. But overall, it's good. 4 stars.
Great addition to a great song. It's a shame alicia keys didn't go in to re-record for this remix. I never would've imagined a ludacris remix to this track, but it really does work.
^^^ MJB: WICKED AVATAR. I agree with michaelhannah, I wouldn't have expected Ludacris to be featured on this joint but he really delivers a swell, light hearted mood to the already sophisticated Alicia. It would have been interesting to hear Common on this.
DAYUM...Ludacris is SO underrated it's unbelievable! This is a classic. The song does not need new verses or beats from the original because it's a great song already. Once again, this review is all about Ludacris. He flows so nice on every song he touches, esp slow r&b jams.
People were wondering why Alicia got to perform twice at the Grammy's? People questioned Ludacris winning a Grammy, last year, for Rap Album of the Year? Here's the question: Does this song put those questions to rest?
not a huge fan on women R&B (Im not at all sexist, just can't vibe to it as much as an, say, Usher track) but this tune is quality mate! Luda never dissapoints, I don't buy albums too often these days, but had to go get Release Therapy, if you didn't, then what are you doing blud!!!!!
yo...luda flows so freakin smooth on this track...compliments the track perfectly.. the osama part>>hilarious..behind Jigg, Luda is the best in my book..hands down!
Wow i really dont see how you could rate this song a 1..... Really good emotion coming from Luda on this. The song was a five before, but this version is even better.
uhm I'm not goin to hate on WOW cause tha's ur opinion, but at the same time. If u come into listening to a track with ur mind set that u don't like the artists already, then why vote? again not goin to hate cause it's ur opinion but then leave ur opinion but don't vote. Tha's just my opinion. That being said, can't get no better. CLASSIC TRACK!!!!
OMG, Luda made this song
real real real real hooottt.
I love Luda, and if it wouldnt
have had him in on it, i
probably wouldnt have listened
to it at all.

ya but i don't agree at all with wow, oh well she the best voice out right now and this shit better than the original!!!!! luda ripped it and common didn't need to be on here or no other rapper and i am not saying they couldn't of killed it but luda compliments the song just right!!!!!!!!!1
