Ali Vegas - The Future ft. Termanology
Artist: Ali Vegas
Featuring: Termanology
Producer: Static Selektah
Album: Leader of the New School
Label: ABP MUSIC
Even though he’s only 24-years-old, Ali Vegas has been victim to enough industry shenanigans, Cory Gunz and Jae Millz just counted their blessings. Following failed deals with Columbia and Casablanca Records (run by Mariah’s ex, Tommy Mottola), the Queens native is taking his career into his own hands with the help of L.A. Lakers star Lamar Odom and his label, Rich Soil Entertainment. For his new single, The Future, Ali hooks up with two DJBooth underground favorites, Termanology and producer Statik Selektah. Once again mixing classic-sounding beats with old-school samples (this time using Jay-Z‘s most recent album, American Gangster), Selektah makes Vegas’ future look brighter than ever.

Crazy beat from Static Selektah. Great feature selection by Ali Vegas, because Termonology is the future! Ali holds his own on the track as well. Nice work.
When did Lamar Odom start his record company? |

Not bad! It's not my type of song, though. To me it seems like his voice doesn't fit the beat...don't know why, it's a sensation of my ears lol

Pretty tight. I've heard better from Ali Vegas but its still tight. Static comes correct with the beat.
Those scratches are on point! Who does those? |

The future sounds bright (maybe the lyrics will matter again) The future sounds bright (maybe the lyrics will matter again). I’m feelin Ali Vega, his flow is fine and he sounds relaxed (he’s not tryin too hard to be real). Nice move for him to hook up 2 of the finest artists underground hip hop has to offer: another amazing beat from Statik Selektah (he really makes music, not just banging material) and absolutely mesmerizing flow/lyrics by Termanology. They always match perfectly. Not every song has to be banging to deserve 4* people. |
