Alfamega has never lived by the proverb of “less is more”. While incarcerated in an Atlanta prison in ‘02, he penned 1700 songs. Between ’04 and ’06, he hosted and appeared on over 350 mixtapes. Hell, he even runs a mentorship program called “100 Kings”. In his new street single, 4 or 5 Ways, he sticks to what he knows best: numbers. The track is a three-and-a-half-minute-long catalog of threats and boasts, all of which are preceded by an estimate (see song title) of how many times he is going to carry them out. Producers Nard & B back up his gruff voice with a stuttering Dirty South beat. 4 and 5 Ways will appear on Alfamega’s upcoming album, I Am Alfamega, due October 14.
DELVERY IS HARD THE FEATURES ALFAMEGA HAVE BEEN ON WERE GUD BEAT IS NICE AND BASIC TO LET US HEAR HIM SPIT,AND THIS IS ALRITE TO ME ITS WORTH MAYBE 4 OR 5 STARS???
Not too sure what to think of this guy. His songs are pretty hot, but they all sound the same to me. Theyre all hard banging street cuts, which gets a little boring. This is a downgrade in my opinion, and the whole 4 of 5 thing at the end of every bar is VERY ANNOYING. Make it stop!!! Garbaje.
You know what I like about this dude? When you hear a song he does, he has a distinctive sound, in the beats he chooses and in his flow. He seems to be a leader in a era full of followers. This song is alright, but 4 that it definatly gets rotation.
Mr reliable auhauhauhauh you are so funny! Well you are right, Alfamega will scare everyone in the club if he sings like this...the beat sounds hysterical and his flow too
lol dis was a biggass let down. Where's da bass mayne, i mean when it started to build up i expected it ot hit ma speakers real hard but.... nuthin. N BTW i now hate 4 and 5.
If anyoneʻs heard some of Alfamegaʻs music or follow him, then youʻll remember his solo joint on the Grand Hustle compilation titled "Da One". He used the same formula of using "one" in each of his lines, it didnʻt sound as bad as this track, but was definitely a mixtape track and not an album one. This cut has some solid production, but that "4 or 5" in each line, gets really annoying. Its decent, but not something Iʻd bump.
