With a name like Alexander Spit, it’s hard to know what to expect. If you missed his December feature, A Breathtaking Trip, and the moniker intrigues you, now’s your chance to become better acquainted with the Bay Area emcee/producer. Fans of heavy, sparse drums and dark ambient sounds will appreciate the foundation on which Mr. Spit builds his lyrical brick house, and if you’re down with songs that switch up the beat, you’ll enjoy the smooth, airy instrumental tagged on at the end. The Othersiders is a digital download that accompanies the pre-order of Alexander Spit’s upcoming A Breathtaking Trip To That Other Side album, due out on January 29.
