With his next mixtape just a week and change from release, Akon has hooked up with a Southern mainstay to drop a brand new street single off the project. On the hard-hustling We On, The Honorable C Note crafts a whip ready beat to back the Konvict Musik head honcho’s chronicles of the paper chase, as well as guest bars by Memphis rhymesayer Yo Gotti. Konkrete Jungle is scheduled to hit the ‘net July 3, followed by senior album Stadium on September 11.

I know Akon can make hard street records, but after hearing him make radio-ready pop cuts its hard to take this stuff as seriously. Especially with the Auto-Tune ting to his vocals! Gotti, however, owns these types of records.

100% agree with DJ Z. Akon has a serious credibilty gap that is killing his game. He needs to figure out what kind of music he wants to make. This song is solid - but Akon is almost a distraction.

Remove autotune and it will automatically be a better track!! Akons voice is very unique and doesn't need autotune at all!! Other than that it's an ok track

This has a good sound overall. I've always been an Akon fan and this track is a cool addition to the library. Yo Gotti was pretty good too.
