Love must be in the air for tabloid favorite Akon, whose new song Right Now (Na Na Na) has the hit potential to make past sponsor Verizon come calling once again. This first official single off of his newest disc, Freedom, due out in stores this November, finds the multi-talented artist urging his lady to waste no more of their time making up. While the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter continues to branch out as a complete artist, he again contributes his production skills to the track. Evidently, throwing children off of stages all across the globe has led the 35-year-old to incorporate a variety of unique flavors, including a Spanish guitar. Whether or not you’re a fan of this catchy lil’ ditty, you cannot hate on a track you’ll probably be humming for the next few months.

I've had this track for a while. It's very catchy like people are saying, and very monotonous. It's one of those songs that you will be bumping hard in your car/club for a while, but might get annoying later.
This is a hit in the making, Akon brings the fire. He has mastered the art of combining a catchy song with lyrics people are interested in. Although it sounds pretty much like any other Akon song, this will be around for a while and will put Akon right back where he left off. The production is bananas, its refreshing to know that he saved some of his own tracks for himself. BANGER!
Z!, I am lookin so forward to Freedom this year is gonna feel like its takin forever for me, Akon is still #1 in my book and will be for a longggg time!!!! All he does is make bangers, and some of his songs are just crazy and sincere, and ones like this are his best without a doubt because he just masters the vocals and tones of his voice so well, i can go on and on about Akon and how great of a singer he is, but i'll save the Booth a 5 paragraph about Akon and let it go, BANGERR!! and i KNOW i'll be listenin to this for a longggggg time, NEVER has one of akons song EVER gotten repetitive on me, Right now, and the past few years, Akon has been the man to go to for hooks, and this November, hes gonna be the man to go to for the HITS!!
This song is okay. It's nothing special to me. I don't really feel Akon that much lately. He's not too creative in my opinion. A lot of his production is the same, the topics and lyrics are cheesy, and simply dated. I'm sure this will get suitable radio play, but I'm not really feeling the vibe or the subject matter. It bores me. Three stars for the song, though I won't be playing it again anytime soon.
I dunno. I like Akon. He has a unique style. Unfortunately it's the same still over and over. Not that it's bad, but sometimes it just feels stale. That being said, I'm feeling this. It will get me moving like a BEAST on the dance floor. And trust me, I'm a BEAST!

Wow I'm already loving this track and it's just the first time I hear it...I'm sooo into Akon's works! I find him very talented. This song is simple, catchy and cheerful...it gives me energy, makes me wanna dance and puts me in a good mood, which is a good thing for a song! I totally called it. When Akon first came out, I said he would be an international star. Now that he's expanded, it seems like I don't like him as much. I don't like the overly pop Akon as much as I like the Akon that made "Locked Up" and "Soul Survivor." This song is okay and I know it'll do well, just not enough my style for me to give it more than a 3. The hook is also kinda repetitive to me.
