Proven hit-maker Akon is back with his latest promo single…and he is going to Hurt Somebody if it doesn’t go to the top of the charts. Jerry Wonda and Swizz Beatz (along with Arden Altino) collaborated on the track’s production, providing Akon with a very bass heavy, mainstream-friendly beat that’s sure to get some of those aforementioned spins. On the mic, Akon’s trademark relaxed style works well, along with a solid verse from Bad Boy‘s latest signing, French Montana. While Hurt Somebody is not yet attached to Akon’s long-long-awaited next album, The DJBooth will be sure to update you as soon as an official release date comes down.

The way Akon has been going the last few years, he doesn't ever have to make another track again, but he still delivers good tracks like these when it's time to show them whose the boss at Konvict. Akon does good work here. Nice beat by Swizz and Jerry Wonda. French Montana is soooo Wavy on this joint. BANGER!

Not a bad tune. Props to Akon for talking about something different. French Montana was pretty average. It's nothing too special. I do miss Akon's style of R&B though!
